I've gotten the idea that people don't like my current username -- since yesterday, I've gotten just about 20,000 blessings given to me for the purpose of changing it. :P (Thanks again to all who contributed!)

Okay, maybe that wasn't the real reason, since I also said that I wanted to change it to something with "Seraphim" in it. Since that username is already taken, does anybody have any brilliant ideas? My patron is Seraphim of Sarov, though I vainly hoped for awhile that I'd be able to take Fr. Seraphim Rose... SUGETSIONZ PLZ THX

St Seraphim, or SaintSeraphim?

StSeraphimOfPlatina? - nah, too long.

Meh. I like it the way it is. It is original if nothing else.
Besides, I can already see what would happen if you changed your name: "I'm sorry Saint Seraphim, but your last post was utter rubbish." "Saint Seraphim are you single?" "Saint Seraphim, I repped you."
And besides, I would be really really surprised if 'Seraphim' isn't already taken. :)

Silentchapel makes a good point, KjellBjarne is a good name as it is.

Here is a list of the usernames that currently have the word "Seraphim" in the title (I've removed a few that have been banned...generally they had things like 666 in the title....):

Fallen_Seraphim
fourseraphim
FrSeraphim

Why did everyone give me blessings if the consensus is that I should keep my current username?! ":P :P :P

I'm interested in Rusmeister's response on what a nickname for Seraphim might be. And what is the -skaya in Sarovskaya that Jenn the Finn posted up there?

No, unfortunately I haven`t. But I have read about it and seen some trailers.

I was thinking of a namechange myself when I found out that TULIP has something to do with Calvinism I think. But I chose it because I love tulips.

The -skaya is an adjectival ending, but in the wrong gender. It should be -sky (pronounced "skee"), since St. Seraphim is a man :-)

Grace and peace,
John

Don't let the Calvinists ruin it for you. ;)

Just keep the cases like that (don't do it in all caps), and no one should get too confused. ;)
