I applied for a job with the City of Des Plaines, IL, back in December, and they called me back for an interview last week after I bugged them over the phone and sent them a letter of recommendation from my current boss. The interview is set for this Thursday, and the job is basically for the same thing I do now, except full time and with a few added responsibilities (it's public/government access cable programming, as well as various other municipal media functions -- think Wayne's World, sorta). It pays very well, and as I am getting married in July, this new job would enable me to get a place to live and to have a stable income/benefits prior to the marriage.
This is the absolutely ideal situation for me if it ends up that I get hired, and I have been scrambling like mad to get ready for this interview. I have to keep telling myself that I might not get it because I'm so convinced that this is obviously ordained by God that I should find work so similar to what I'm already doing -- and maybe it is, but being presumptuous is never good.
Any prayers anyone has to offer would be much appreciated...
