Yay! :) We had our House Blessing yesterday. Since we are not yet Orthodox, we didn't know we could even have one, but Fr. Christopher actually recommended that we have one, so he came yesterday. We had such a GREAT time. He came and did the house blessing, which was beautiful, but then we spent the next 6 hours just sitting and talking - it was such a huge blessing for us! It was also our first "unofficial" catechism class. He left several books for us to read before our next meeting (in a month) and he encouraged us to write down any questions that arise. He said in actuality, that we probably already know most of this information - because hubby and I have just been devouring books over the last 8 months on Orthodoxy - but he thought it best to go ahead and start at the beginning just to make sure we understand the basics. I thought this was a good idea. Anyway, it was just such a wonderful day!
