Good point, WesleyJohn. I've contemplated the name before many times. It really does make a difference, when the full name is used. I often times use the abbreviated form, since it so easy to do and accepted by "Church of the Nazarenes" members.

That is a good point, and one that I'd not fully considered. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

When I was confirmed Catholic, my confirmation certificate said, "...baptized at The Church of the Nazarene Church"

It didn't sound right, but I didn't care. It's the Church of the Nazarene, not the "Nazarene Church". :)

Wesley, just something to look out for should you decide to become Catholic one of these days. ;)

I ussually call it the Church of the Nazarene, sometimes I call it the Nazarene church though. With MidAmerica Nazarene Univ., i ussually say Midamerica Nazarene or MNU.

What do you think of this Church website homepage? They have an interesting take on the church name.

Maybe it's a nickname for the purpose of the website? I don't know, really, what to think about it.
