Has anyone listened to this online LCMS station?

http://www.kfuoam.org/

I can listen to this a lot during the day if it is a good choice. Just wanted to see what veteran Lutherans thought.

Though I am WELS, I like the station very much. When I was working, I always listened to it through my computer. It made my day go by faster. :) I would say, go ahead, and enjoy.

KFUO has AM and FM. I'm not sure which it is but I'm thinking AM since there website also has a link to 850 AM. If it is it's probably better than FM which is more classical music than "The Word".

I used to listen to KFUO all the time. Issues, Etc. and The Bible Study were my favorites.

Ancient Faith Radio (http://ancientfaith.com/) is what I listen to now. But it's really not very Lutheran... ;)

You know what I thought of when I first saw the title of the thread, though?

I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
And the touch of a world that is older
I turn the switch and check the number
I leave it on when in bed I slumber
I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?

I'm on a Lutheran radio. I'm on a Lutheran, whoa-Oh, radio
I'm on a Lutheran radio. I'm on a Lutheran, whoa-Oh, radio

Did I just date myself?

I think you defined it well. :)
Oh, I never listened to it, but I see what you are saying. :):)

Thanks, :)

Dan gets a little over zealous sometimes. :)

Wall of Voodoo, singing a medley of their greatest hits, I remember it well.

In your post you mentioned that it has AM and FM.
I'll try listening to both, but I suspect I'll favor the one with the classical music.

I even listen to Harold Camping  (Family Radio), the one who preaches that the church age is over.
That station has a lot of hymns and classical music.

Oh well ... :)

KFUO FM is 99.1 coming from St.Louis. Here's the FM link. I might be wrong but I don't see any religious programs under program listings.

We've been listening to this at home sunday mornings before we go to church. The Orthodox church has some of the best music in the Christian Church.

When I click on Listen Now it want me to open a certain file in with asx extension.
When I do, it says that I do not have any program associated with it ...

I screwed up my players when trying resolving playing "The Protestant Revolution".
I downloaded some players that messed up the file association.
It was still showing ASX as for Windows player, but it was corrupt.

I deleted the file association for ASX and then re-associated back with the Windows Player.

It works now. :)

Sounds great. Exactly what I like.

Thanks, :)

Sure, why not? It's great music, not proselytization.

I've listened to about half of the 19 lectures so far and have really learned alot and enjoyed them.

Every year Concordia Theological Seminary (http://www.ctsfw.edu/) in Fort Wayne hosts an educational extension course that takes place in Madison, Wisconsin. Pastor Frese coordinated the course for the second year in a row. This year, July 11-15, 2005, Dr. John Kleinig (http://www.alc.edu.au/faculty/view.asp?id=6), theological professor within the Lutheran Church of Australia (http://www.lca.org.au/search/church/cong.cfm?orgcode=ballarat) taught 30 registered students (pastors and laity) the Holiness of God as contained within the book of Leviticus. A special thanks to Calvary Lutheran Chapel (http://calvary.rso.wisc.edu/) for hosting us two years running.
