This is my busy time at work (lots of respiratory infection, gastroenteritis, strep throat and such). On top of that we're in the process of updating our computer system - so I've been pretty darn busy. But that's ok.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my oncologist to review some recent lab work - depending on the results I hopefully will be stopping my chemo drugs:clap::clap:

Whoooo-hoooo! I just signed up for my first "official" cruise with the new car my husband got for me for Christmas (a TOTAL surprise BTW!). He got me a bright red 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP (named Lucy! lol) and I am taking her to the "Twisting to the River Run III" in NE Ohio in early May. To quote the announcement "200 miles of the nastiest bone-rattling, teeth jarring stomach turning twisties". There should be about 50 Solstices and Saturn Sky's participating from all over the country. I am So Excited about this!!

Good morning :)

Here is the whole hymn:

VICTORY IN JESUS (http://www.angelfire.com/oh3/kwh/musicmorgan4.ram)
Words & Music by E. M. Bartlett (US 1939)
Sung by Phil & Pam Morgan

I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory,
How he gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me.
I heard about His groaning, of his precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever!
He sought me and bought me with his redeeming blood.
He loved me ere I knew him, and all my love is due Him.
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea.
About the angels singing, and the old redemption story;
And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory.

O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever!
He sought me and bought me with his redeeming blood.
He loved me ere I knew him, and all my love is due Him.
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

Hi folks.
How's everyone today?

a tad on the cold side - supposed to get to 0 tomorrow, so I'll just stay inside as much as possible - maybe light a fire in the fireplace

my grandboys are coming to spend the night - I love having them (they're so darn funny). Oh, and Hannah has a 3 day weekend at the university, so she'll come home tonight too:clap: :pink:

we'll probably go to dinner somewhere tonight - then I got fixings for a pancake breakfast in the morning (although I did forget bacon - remembered blueberries and forgot bacon - what was I thinking cause they have to have bacon)

not sure what else we'll do tomorrow - but we'll think of something - bless their hearts, they even like to help clean at my house

other than being pretty darn cold (we're in the midst of an arctic blast) http://bestsmileys.com/cold/8.gif it's been great

My daughter is home through tomorrow:clap: We watched a couple of movies the past couple days (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Hairspray)

Had a great visit with the grandboys yesterday (the first thing Luke did when he woke up was give me a hug & kiss - what a nice thing to wake up to).

Last night my pastor & his wife came to dinner along with a visiting pastor (along with his wife and daughter). We had a great visit.

Lord's day services were really nice - Pastor Rich (the visiting pastor) gave a great sermon on Titus 3:4-7. Then we had a pot-luck and something that's become a habit of ours whenever we have a guest speaker - a question and answer session. Nothing like putting the visiting pastor on the spot;)

Too cold this afternoon to do much of anything - so I took a nap.

Now I'm watching Green Bay football http://bestsmileys.com/cheering/6.gif

All in all a very nice weekend

yes - the 3 day weekend is for Martin Luther Jr day
we went to the International Auto Show in Detroit yesterday and I got so tired of walking that when a young lady asked if I would like to donate blood, I grabbed the chance! LOL!! (actually, I'm working on my 3rd gallon pin)
our pastor came back from the Mayo clinic and needs a bone marrow donor. I'm going to find out how much the test is and try to pay for others to get tested along with me.

Be cool for them to win the SB if only for the historical factor~most SBs of the past dozen years have been less than historical. A perfect season is something people will be talking about 20 years from now, unlike most of these yawners...

Yes, all fine - but no water yet :(
My husband was in the next county on business today and stocked up on bottled water, so we won't die of thirst! Apparently it may not be back for 48 hours, so please pray for those who are struggling with no heating or sanitation! We've advertised the fact that we have water, so all our neighbours have been round for it. But I'm sure there are some old folk who we don't know about.

I'd rather have no electricity or gas (heat) than no water.

Indeed! Though, since most heating here needs water, a lot of people don't have that either. We are fortunate tho, we have a coal fire in the living room, so we can huddle round that!

Still waiting on two books needed for class, both religion books. Speaking of which, I need to read up for my logic/psychology class. XD
Sounds like you're going to be busy!

I miss that - always considered car time quality time - for whatever reason I heard alot in the car. My kids would tell me stuff in the car that they might not share sitting in the living room at home.

It wouldn't be that bad if I didn't need stuff from Brett or didn't need him to do certain things. but alas since he deployed nearly a full month early we had some loose ends that never gotten taken care of and we are having to take care of them with me here at home and him in Iraq. Right now I'm at a standstill cause he has to take care of something from his end. *sigh* I'm ready for him to be home :p doing everything alone is stressful and exhausting

Yeah, I know. I'm always moving around like a nomad searching for a home. I tried a few other forums but I keep coming back to CF. Your class on marriage and the family sounds interesting. I'm taking an on-line class on personal prophesy, and I've just joined two small groups. Always learning, always growing. Life is good.

I just got off the phone with my daddy :) I was going to go to McMinnville to see them this weekend but we are holding out on that until we see what the weather is going to do.

Pray for me - I have that antsy feeling and I don't know how or if I can answer it - I've had a lot of ups and downs with God (more on my side) and to be honest I'm scared to answer His call - not because I fear he will do something to me - but because it feels/felt like when I needed Him most He was as far away as He could get from me.

Good Morning :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday. I was able to spend some time with my middle sister - we went shopping and I got some stuff to go in a box for Brett. Last night was a rough night for me :( I miss Brett so much. It is hard sometimes - memories that you have to think on are a blessing as much as a curse :( though I am well aware that it could always be worse it still doesn't make it any easier during the night.

Today is a new day though and I will be leaving soon to go to church I enjoy going to church with my daddy he is my favorite pastor in the whole world :D (not that I am bias or anything :P)

Alright I shall be around later today.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Its been a great day! My kids and husband gave me wonderful gifts (a new espresso maker and a set of pasta dishes) and then for dinner tonight, we'll be going out for dinner with family friends.

Amanda, I know what you mean about being frustrated with Brett not being around. The other day, I had a flat tire (a complete blow-out) but luckily, I was able to call my husband at work and he was able to change it for me. I rely on him for so many things like that and its hard to remember that I used to handle all those things on my own when I was single. I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Take care everyone!

I'm so tired  it was a long night. We had tornados, high winds, hail, and flooding across the state. There were 24 deaths in Tennessee last night, and more in in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama. My understanding is that they are still searching to see if any other victims are found. At least tally 47 deaths and over half of those came from TN. Midnight brought round two of the storms to where I live and it was loud and scary because I had no power to listen to the news. Mom still had power and so I called her and she kept me updated. It is going to be a long day across the south as more people are found by injured and dead. So please send prayers down here to everyone that has been touched by the tornados and storms.

Wow. Interesting weather. A couple months ago, the Pacific NW was hit with major flooding. I'd never, ever seen anything like it. In fact, it's being called a 500 year flood - this on the heels of another flooding event two years ago that they called a 100 year flood. The tornados seem more intense as well - or at least more frequent. In fact, we had a funnel cloud here in the NW a few days ago. Global warming, God's wrath, or the beginning of birth pangs? Perhaps a little of all three? Hard to say for certain, but I do know we live in interesting times.

Things are okay where I am. The college that was hit is in West TN and I am from Middle. My understanding is that things are going along nicely and that the Red Cross, the Governor, and the President are working together to take care of everyone.
