Hey ya'll this is for the ones who know who BM is. I have received word that things are not good at all. Here is his message

NEEDING URGENT PRAYER!!!

We are both now well and truly into a collapsed state with our already serious, long-term ill-health. And life is not getting better or easier, but rather even MORE difficult. For those who don't know we both have Government-funded Carers who come in 3-4 hours for 3 days every week.

Mrs BM's carers do the specific cooking needed for both of us - a difficult and rather major task. Two carers are available and sufficiently trained (by my Lady) to do this. BUT we've had one of them off for a month with a major operation. And now the 2nd one is off until next week with illness. So we are left without help and without food.

The Providers who supply the Carers are frantically trying to figure a solution to this. But there really ISN'T one - you cannot conjure a person up out of the ether who can do a job that takes months to get trained to do.

HOWEVER, our God is a God of miracles. Will you guys please pray hard for something to work out here, because this situation is VERY serious indeed! And yes, for those who know the situation I'm still buried deep in continued computer messes up to about my chin - with no letup on THAT either (the weekend was horrendous!)

Amanda - I see the picture of you and your husband and I think, "gosh she looks familiar." Then I mentally picture my kids friends who are about your age - but can't come up with a name.

Last night I was watching t.v. when I was on-line and it came to me (now don't take offense because a lot of people don't like her) but you remind me of Rachel Ray.

Yeah! Friday is a good thing - especially before a long weekend. My husband took today off to work on our utility room. He's pounding away and I'm attempting to look busy so he doesn't think I just sit around all day goofing off on the computer.

I'm excited :) and I've already talked it over with Brett and he just wants me to be happy. With his job he will be back and forth between day and night shifts and it won't make me happy to live together and never see each other. What would make me happy is to be able to be with my husband and be able to research and explore things that interest me :) and if things work out the way we hope that is exactly what will get to happen :)

The Maple Leafs are playing hockey tonight - no Red Wings until tomorrow.

Mondays are one of my evenings home alone - sometimes I like it, sometimes no. Feeling the "alone" tonight for some reason.:sigh:

Maybe some chocolate will help (toddles off to the kitchen to see what I have hidden in the cupboard)

I was cleaning my office and I was squatting down and I felt a pressure begin in my knee when I stood up I heard a pop and now my knee down to my foot hurts really really badly. I can't even walk because it hurts so much. I talked to a friend that is a nursing major and she told me to prop it up and ice it down and if swelled or turned purple or red to call her and she would take me to the ER - so please prayers for the healing of my knee - this friend is awesome but she is getting ready for her hubby to come home for R&R from Iraq so I don't want to bug her.

If you get a chance to see this, I'd love prayer too, my poor hubby has been sick with what he thought was just a cold, but now, a week later he has the flu, and I'm trying to not get it as well..but my body tells me I'm not doing a good job of it :(

He stayed home yesterday and I hope that resting all weekend will help, along with all the other things you do when you get the flu.
He's diabetic too so I worry about him.

but a strong admonition - don't ignore this. If the pain persists, if weight bearing is an issue - get it looked at sooner rather than later!

If you're not allergic and aren't taking anything else that it could interact with - take 800 mgm of Advil/Motrin every 8 hours too. One of the things ibuprofen is made for is joint pain (it's antiinflammatory as well as a pain reliever)

Would you please pray for my husband and those on his shift. He is feeling really down today - while he was at work (and if you didn't catch it he is in Iraq) he had to see some body bags being taken off a helicopter. It doesn't happen too often but sometimes they are hit really hard by the fact that they are actually at war. So please pray for him and for those lives that were lost today.

we moved 4 years ago - had been in our previous house ~23 years so boy had things changed cost wise.

But yes - there are a lot of things you don't think about aside from the mortgage costs (painting, wallpapering, carpet cleaning - plus just the time). Whew:swoon: We'll probably stay here for a long time cause we don't want to go through all that again anytime soon.

I'm not against disagreement. Christians should be able to disagree freely on issues.
The problem comes when we turn into division & hatred becuz of disagreements on these things that don't involve central doctrine - or God's moral laws/principles.

I did alot of internalizing after this area had imploded - and I just came to the conclusion that I'd pick my battles more selectively and seek to unite and find what we have in common than to look for issues to argue about. (not that I won't ever argue them).

I'm ok with problems depending on what they are about here (where God's truth is concerned) - but alot of it I think is unecessary.

I tried doing that from day 1 - I think it was a war of who a conservative actually was... which is why the Moderate forum was created so they moved over there & a liberal problem - they were seeking to get more involved here (at least I think so) lol

Oh I have FA! I took 2 months off about 6 mos. ago.

I find that if I spend more time in the blessings/game area, then I don't need the long sabaticals away from CF.
I need time away when I'm doing a majority of debate tho. I can't just keep debating like that without a time out to relax and smell the roses.
I finally learned that awhile back. I hope it's been a blessing to you sister!

Part of alot of people leaving was so many policy changes back and forth too. From Erwin's "vision" that basically pushed out our strong Christian base back to Lee who seems to have brought thing back some - now with the site update that's been going on, I think people just headed for greener pastures with less hasstle.

If they haven't come back since the earlier changes, they won't know that it's gotten alot better here than it was even when I first came 2 yrs ago. I actually like the way it is now as far as debating & guidelines.

I hope more come back eventually
