Hi guys,

I'm looking for people who are preferably "Cradle Catholics" and who Confirmed and who really believed in the Catholic church..... but are now Methodists.

Tell me, what differences do you see between Catholic and Methodist worship? Do you consider them good or bad?

What differences do you see between Catholic and Methodist communion?... How do you "reconcile" the difference between how Catholic priests "consecrate" the bread & wine vs. the Methodist belief (as I understand it), that the conversion is an act of God that we have no understanding or power over?... How do you feel about having communion only once a month vs. every single week or even every single day in Catholic church?...

What about other doctrinal beliefs? What were the keys to make you change?... Is your family Catholic? Did you feel rebuked by them, etc?...

Just want to get a dialogue going.

Thanks,

Michael

read The Methodist Articles of Religion (http://www.godonthe.net/cme/methdist/articles.htm) and you will see what the differences are.

I've read it.... it's not very clear on Communion...

and I am looking for specific former-Catholic testimony :)

Thanks,

Michael

Hello again, Michael:

I can't speak to the fomer-Catholic experience, but I've started to address some of your questions about Holy Communion in the other thread (http://www.christianforums.com/t671981) on which you asked about it.
