I think they are the same...just had to be changed cause it was one of the ones from the dollmaker sites which had to be changed cause of copyright??

I see, but what about all of the clothes in the armory from the dollmaker site?

I think most of them have been modified - at least the ones where we discovered they came from dollmaker sites...has been a while ago now and I can't quite remember what happened :sorry:

ah yeah... some of the stuff got modified so that it was different enough so it could stay. That hairstyle (I agree I like the original better) was probably one of them, because I've never known the armory to take out a hairstyle, especially if they replaced it with something so similar. Will ask Raven though just to be sure :)

Hi Vaneeza,

That hairstyle is much missed by many members, but it was modified as part of a huge clean-up of items that had been modified from copyright protected dollz site images. This one was based on a hairstyle from the elouai site.

The site has a copyright statement that allows people take their designs and adapt them, ONLY when the image is accompanied with a linkback to the elouai site. We can't accomodate that in the character space.

When we realized how many elouai-based items had been added to the armory, we had to re-do them from scratch - and make them significantly different - or remove them.

It was a huge effort, and I'm not sure we found all the items that originated from that site. I spent probably 12-18 hours just looking at the dollz items on that site, to match them against our own stuff.
