We were lied to about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction, we were lied to about Iran's nuclear weapons program, and now we are being lied to about a recent threat from Iran. Having said that, when will the American people start questioning the official story on 9/11, the event which began all of this hysteria and warmongering in the first place?

If we were lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and a nuclear program in Iran then why not let UN inspectors in to do their job? That would be common sense. If Iraq never had WMD'S common sense dictates they would of allowed weapons inspectors in without harrassing them in order to give them a clean bill of health which in turn woul have lifted whatever embargo and other sanctions against them.
Same with Iran, if they dont have them or dont intend in using nuclear power for weapons, they can freely invite inspectors in, make it official and no one will hassle them again. This is simply common sense, something that doesnt exist in the middle east.

although if Iraq did not have WMD, the admission would have had ramifications regionally that may not have been on our "radar" ;
just a thought I had back then (that Iraq was strategically bluffing, and could not afford a "call" on that bluff)
no comment on the OP as such, though

The truth about 9/11 is that it wasn't an unprovoked attack, committed by Islamic extremists who simply hate our freedoms. The United States is a target of terrorism because of our decades of meddling in the Middle East and our unconditional support for Israel. The United States government is the aggressor and has been for some time. Hasn't anyone heard of blowback?

Muslim extremists didnt mind us when we armed and trained them to battle the Soviets in Afghanistan. Secondly why shouldnt we support Israel, there our ally. Its not our faults that muslim extremists dislike them. Nor is it our fault that the cousins of Abraham (the jews and muslims) have some sort of sibling rivalry going on.

Spyridon, why do you seem so obsessed by all things political? I think a new focus might be appropriate.

I wouldn't put it past our government at all. However I don't trust the Iranian gov either. So, I don't think I'll ever really know.
I do worry that perhaps this was created to bring up concerns to make way for a future war. If the incident did really happen as our gov wants to believe, I believe people in our government are salivating over how they can use this event to start "training" our minds (towards war).
I don't really think that, in general, our government CAUSES calamities to happen to us or that they necessarily purposely LET them happen... but they definitely have an agenda that is just waiting for the perfect thing to happen. The Iraq war is a PERfect example of this. Anyone who has read the New American Century and the agenda they have openly had since before the Bush Jr came to town (and looks at all of the coauthors and signatorees) can plainly see that 9/11 was exactly the excuse the neo-cons were waiting for to occupy a significant strong hold in the MidEast. I believed the referred to the excuse they needed as "another Pearl Harbor" or something to that effect.
But, to clarify, I do not believe that the US created 9/11 and I believe they did not truly believe this would happen when they recieved warnings about it. They didn't take it as seriously as they should have but I believe that was a grave error in judgment and not a symptom of conspiracy. Can I back that up (that they didn't purposely let it happen), no... I'm just not prone to believe conspiracy theories unless they can be proven.

The nation of Israel does not have a right to exist. If you read the New Testament, you would know the Church is the New Israel and that the fall of Jerusalem was punishment for Israel's rejection of Christ. You should care about the Palestinian Christians who are persecuted by Israeli apartheid, and whose ancient churches have been shut down by the Israeli government. As an Orthodox Christian, you should care about your fellow Orthodox Christians.
According to the 9/11 Commission and the CIA, 9/11 was retaliation against American involvement in the Middle East. The mastermind behind 9/11 admitted that it was retaliation against American support for the state of Israel. Why support a state that has no right to exist, that persecutes and kills Christians in Palestine and Lebanon, and jeopordizes our national security by exposing us to terrorism?

One could say that no nation has the right to exist by those standards. The US certainly has no right to exist. I mean we swindled and murdered the Native Americans out of this land and look at how we treat <insert group of choice here>.
Palestine was the homeland of the Jews for millennia and since someone has to be in charge of a country it might as well be them. Everybody's gotta live somewhere. Ishmael's kids have several nations so I'm not going to gripe about Isaac's kids having one of their own.
Yeah it irks me how they treat Palestinian Christians but it also irks me how China treats Chinese Christians. It's just another case of the US looking out for its own interests. I doubt the US would give a rip about the Middle East if it weren't sitting on an ocean of oil.

But... why doesn't it have a RIGHT to exist? I mean, does the US have a right to exist? Are these questions even worth it?
