View Full Version : The coming of the Lord

I have shared just a little bit of what the Lord has been doing in my life, since I have decided to follow Him about twenty five years ago. As I have mentioned, the way that the Lord speaks to me most often is through visions that He shows me in the Communion Host. Over the years, He has shown me people to pray for (in certain situations), He has shown me visions of various saints, (who pray for us even without us asking them to), and on occasion, He has shown me visions which are prophetic in nature and pertain to the serious times that we are now living in.
Today, I stopped at the adoration chapel on the way home from work, only intending to stay for a short time, but ended up staying for about an hour. The Lord was showing me several visions in the Communion Host, and just before I was ready to leave, I saw this vision:
In the Communion Host, I saw an opened book, (the Word of God), underneath it, was the face of Christ, and beneath Jesus, was the face of a man with a beard and long un-kept wild looking hair. He was looking directly at me.
I left the adoration chapel without an understanding of this, but on the way home, driving in my car this "vision" again popped into my head and I received these words, "John the Baptist, .....Prepare Ye for the coming of the Lord".
So, It was John the Baptist, who spoke those words to me in a vision. I believe that our time is short, and that this present generation will live to see the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Does anyone else believe that our Lord is returning soon ? I am sure that I am not the only one that He is speaking to.

I nuderstood that vision to be very revealing to something I am going through at this time brother. I hope that you don't mind that the Lord is using that to speak something to me! LOL I am sure you are delighted to hear that news.
However, you do realize that no one knows the day or hour, not even Jesus, but only the Father. That speaks strongly to me.
It could very possibly happen in our lifetimes though.

I will however post that I believe that The end of the world will come after the next Pope finishes His work. This is based on what I beleive is a true prophecy from St. Malachy, which seems to indicate that There wil be only one more pope before the final hour.
Would you like to read this link? It also made a strong impression upon me.

I don't know if this generation will see the second coming of Christ, but I do know that all of the apostles looked for Him to come back in their lifetime. St. Paul, I suspect, did not expect that there would be Christians reading his letters two thousand years later. But if the apostles expected to see Him return before they died, then shouldn't we? Shouldn't we live our lives as if He will return at any moment? Shouldn't we be vigilant, shouldn't we be like the virgins who had enough oil to light their lamps when the master returned? I'm not sure that when He returns is as important as how we prepare to meet Him. After all, even if I do not live to see His return, my life will end and I will stand before God and need to answer for the life He gave me and what I did with it. Lord let my llife give glory to You.
God Bless,
Nancy

Our Lord told St. Faustina that she was to prepare the world for His coming. This is the time of His mercy, He said that we can come to Him in His mercy now, but if not we will need to come to Him in His justice. I think I would rather meet Him in His mercy.

What do you guys think about the link that I posted?
Towards the bottom of the link there is a grid that shows the prophecies and the popes who have fit their descriptions.
Do you think the last pope (the next?) will be named Pope Peter II?
CathNancy

I think that there is much wrong with the world today, and as I posted, Jesus told St. Faustina that she was to prepare the world for His coming. But I also think that it is a mistake to focus only on His second coming. We should not become so involved with the thought that He is coming back that we forget that we are to live for Christ now, each moment striving to do His will. If our quest is to let Christ live within us, then it does not matter when He is coming because with God's grace we will be ready.
Do I think that the next Pope after Benedict will be named Pope Peter II? If it is God's will, but this is for the Father to know, not us.
God Bless,

This is true, that no one knows the EXACT day or hour that the Lord will return, but don't you think that the Lord would prepare us for His second coming, just as He did when He came the first time ? This vision that I shared with you is not the only vision or words that I have received pertaining to the Lord's return. As I mentioned previously, on occasion, during the last twenty five years, the Lord Has been speaking to me about His return. He has also shown me how serious the times are that we now live in. World War III is a reality if mankind does not repent and return to the Lord. I also believe that the chastisements spoken about in all the "approved" Marian apparitions that have taken place, and continue to take place, are actually referring to the Great Tribulation period spoken about in the Bible. If I were to share everything that the Lord has shown me pertaining to his return, you would be absolutely convinced that what I am saying is true.

Perhaps I will share some more of what the Lord gave to me regarding His return. About two years ago, this is what I wrote down at that time:
The following morning at mass, during the consecration, when the priest held up the Communion Host, the Lord gave me a vision of an hourglass and at the same time, I heard these words, "Time is short". A few days later, while in adoration, the Lord showed me this vision in the Communion Host: In the background I was standing before Christ and He was wearing a kingly crown of solid gold. In the foreground of this vision was Christ and myself facing each other (Christ was not wearing a crown in the foreground). Jesus was reaching out to me and placed His hands on my shoulders. I asked the Lord what the meaning of this was and immediately I received these words: " I come as a Merciful Savior before I come as a Just Judge".
So, we are now in a time of God's mercy, but at some point, (during the great tribulation period), we will come under God's judgment. How important it is to live every day as if it is our last day on earth, serving God in all the ways that we can, and doing our very best to follow all His commandments without exception. Praise You Jesus, come quickly Lord Jesus !

Hawko,
thank you for sharing these with us. I think that God can and does show us things like this to spur us on to greater works for others. That is probably why there are the visions given to saints regarding the end of the world.
I was wondering if yu have some links of the end time prophecies of teh many saints that are approved of by the church.
I am guessing that you have studied this more than I have. Thank you! I think St. Catherine Labore had a vision given to her, I am not sure if I am thinking of the right saint though!

I like the comments I'm hearing. You sound like one of us fundy end timers..^_^
Here's the thing, we are to dicern the times and to watch and pray when we see things come to pass. Even the world's commenting on all the things that are going crazy and talking about armageddon..Isreal is to become a contenion to the rest of the world and wee se it before our very eyes..We are living in a time when His return is more possible than 100 years ago..My grandfather saw horse travel to jet planes..Men are going to and fro and knowledge has increased I looke d at that Malchi thing and I could see where a bad pope could lead alot of people astray with some bridge building, all paths to God acknowledgment..The tares would see no differance and believe the lie as part of the strong delusion..Key for all who are in Christ, stay close to Jesus..Thinks could implode at any time...I call my self a pan tribber because it will all pan out like the Lord planned it..I just have to stay close and trust Him..shalom..Kim

Hiskid, we weren't talking about the Pope leading people astray!!! We meant that there will be one final pope who will lead the people of God in the end times, and He will truly have the Spirit of St. Peter with him, in a wonderful way.

I don't know about St Catherine Labore, I would have to read up on her, but I have read the diary of St Faustina and she spoke about the return of the Lord. I am just reading the signs of the times, and also sharing what the Lord has shown me personally about His return. It only makes sense that the Lord would prepare His people for His return. He is a God of great mercy, and desires that all people will be saved.

I checked the lady out you mentioned.
Beginning in 1931, Saint Faustina beheld a vision of Jesus with two rays streaming from his heart. The two rays denote the blood and water which poured from the heart of the crucified savior. This is the final act of Christ's physical sacrifice which effected the redemption of mankind. The outpouring of blood and water is the final signature of the covenant of redemption! ( Actually when He said it "is finished", but for the natural realm it was the sight of this that showed it.)These rays on the image of Divine Mercy, symbolize the "matter" by which God redeemed mankind. (1 John 5:7). This outpouring of blood and water consummated the the sacrificial offering of Christ, who thus exhausted himself for our salvation! The response "Jesus, I trust in you!" is necessary to effect the salvation of each individual, and all mankind! Thus, this image, is a sacramental representation of the living covenant of salvation. Christ's outpouring of blood and water is not enough! Mankind must respond with trust! These two elements, Christ's oblation, and mankind's response in faith, effects salvation for the human race. So, this image is more than an ordinary sacramental. It contains within itself the whole hidden mystery of salvific theology.
This lady sounds a little fundy :P..When when I run into some of your camp who say a prayer don't make you a christian, I'll show them this lady.Ha, this lady knows about having a conversion exp...:D

I agree Nancy. Jesus did not know the time, he just told us to be ready.
For two thousand years folks have been predicting the day. Even denominations and cults have been formed on these predictions.
The fact is, one day we will meet Jesus face to face. We need to be ready. Whether it is at the hour of our death or when He comes in Glory.
He will come like a theif in the night.
Let us all praise Him and be prepared for meeting him.

Let me mention this; that 99% of the visions that the Lord gives me are in the Communion Host. I believe that when we receive Holy Communion, that we are receiving Jesus, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. If the Lord chooses to give me a vision in the Communion Host, (which is Jesus), and Words along with it, common sense says that this vision is authentic and actually from the Lord. It is a type of "built in discernment". The Lord has chosen to speak to me in this manner, so that I would have no doubt that these messages are from Him. This has helped me tremendously in my spiritual growth, and also my own personal relationship with Jesus. If I choose to share a personal part of my spiritual life on this forum, it is because I have felt inspired to do so, and it is a message of importance. You don't have to believe what I am sharing with you, but the Lord has laid it upon my heart to share these things with you, and I am just following the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. If what I share helps more people realize that our Lord is a very personal God, and also encourages more people to spend more time in prayer to develop this relationship, then it's worth it for me to share what the Lord has given me with others. May the Lord Bless you all !

Wow. This is all so very interesting. I personally do believe in the prophecies of St. Malachy and believe that this generation will see the second coming of our Lord. :) But regardless of if the prophecies of St. Malachy are true or not, we must be ready for His coming or our coming to meet Him. In other words, we must be ready to meet the Lord whether that be through His second coming or through our death.

What you say is right - but the Bible does tell us to look for the signs - it tells us we know the signs of the seasons, but not the signs of His return.
The Bible speaks of things that will happen near the end time and many have said this was all back in Bibical times - but Israel is the key to all the end time signs.
The Bible said (paraphasing) that after Israel becomes a state and all these things come into being - look up your redemption is near. It says that once Israel became a state again (1948) - that it would never be taken over again. Everything the Bible says will happen has happened - Jesus could come any time.

Thank you for sharing, Hawko! :) I must say that when I thought about the second coming, I never really thought of Jesus coming as the Just Judge...still the Merciful Savior. But what you said makes a lot of sense and is Biblical too!
What you said really made me think.
Yes, we should live every day as if Jesus is coming back today...I wish I remembered this more :(
That is awesome that the Lord gives you visions through Communion...wow!

Thank you every one for your variety of great comments and responses. You may not all agree with what I have written , but that's okay, you have your right to your own opinion. The important thing is that I have now got you all thinking about the return of the Lord, which is a good thing. We all have areas in our lives that need to be changed, and if reflecting on the return of the Lord stimulates us to do so, then that's good. May the Lord Bless you all !
