Greetings Church!

I know that the Charismatic Gifts are happening in our time. According to one of "the lists", is the gift of miracles.
We, Catholic Charismatics agree on the miracle of the consecration of the Eucharist and the other Sacraments.

That is not what I am asking for here, although I will share with you, as the miracle of multiplication, one that happened with the Eucharist.

These New Testament Miracles are Healings, Prophesies, Multiplications, and yes, raising the Dead. I ask you to think about the miracles of the New Testament.
Fr. DeOrio, if you happen to be out there, please post to us. I have read your books, and been there when you were ministering.

OK folks, lets talk about Jesus, "THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!!!!"

I happened to witness a young girl who was born with a neurologic disorder, perform what I believe was a miracle.

After mass one sunday this young girl asked her mom if she could pray over a young man and the mother told her she would have to ask if was ok herself. So she did. The young man agreed. As she began to pray it was a little hard to understand her because of her speech impairment. Then it became crystal clear she said "My Jesus said to pray for you protect, to be safe" "My Jesus said, you be ok". She then made the sign of the cross on him and left.

Three days later this young man was in a major life threatening accident which should gave him a serious brain injury. He escaped with only bruises and no head injury. Then he was reminded of the young girl who prayed on him just three days before, and her simple words from Jesus really effected him in a positive way, realizing the gift he had been given.

This is a cute one. This same girl asker her mom to make it snow, her mom said she cant and to ask Jesus. So she went in her room put her sacramental around her and went on her knees in prayer, asking Jesus to let it snow. She said to our Lord, "What, oh, you already know?" "Thank you Jesus, thank you, you make me so happy". As the mom turned the corner and looked out her picture window...... There was a blizzard outside. She ran down the hall to tell her daughter, and said "Come and see what Jesus did for you, Its snowing"! The girl replied, "Gosh Mom, I KNOW!!"

He, He. I cracked up at that one. If we all could have faith like that.

I know there have been other miracles regarding this young girl as well.

This young girl happens to be spiritually gifted and doesnt even know it. Her life has been one of suffering. She only knows to do what the Holy Spirit prompts her to do. I do know also she talks to our Lord, St. Michael and some other Angels.

The more purer and innocent the soul, the easier the Holy Spirit can be followed, and the Lord's love and mercy can flow that much easier. Hope this Story was a blessing. Peace

That is such a great story Isabella! wow!
"The more purer and innocent the soul, the easier the Holy Spirit can be followed, and the Lord's love and mercy can flow that much easier."
:amen: that is so true. ..the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these...
I think this young girl has incredible faith and her life glorifies God.
btw I love the part when she said "Thank you Jesus, thank you, you make me so happy" aw :D

About 1980 (not sure of the date), I was serving as Eucharistic Minister in our Southern California Parish. Our Pastor had a reputation for never consecrating enough wine.
On this particular Sunday, he, once again was stingy with the wine.
When it was time for Communion, I was given the large pewter Chalice and three other ministers had the smaller Chalices. Father and our Deacon distributed the Body of our Lord.

As it turned out, Father had also planned several Baptisms. The first part of one side of the Church was filled with families of the little ones to be baptized.
To our amazement, the Knights of Columbus had chosen this Sunday and this Mass to attend with all their families. The Church was absolutely packed with folks standing wherever there was space and people clear out into the vestibule and out the doors on the front step.

Well, we started distributing Communion. I tend to get moved very deeply by this ministry and didn’t notice anything until one of the other Ministers of the Eucharist walked over beside me and looked into my cup. Hers was empty. I noticed mine was less than half full. Little by little the other Ministers cups were empty and Father leaned over and looked into my cup. By now there was less than an inch left in the bottom of the cup. I looked up and the two lines of people were still out the back doors. I looked into the cup and said, “Oh Jesus, there will not be enough of your Precious Blood for everybody”. Instantly, the cup was refilled to the brim. Not only that, but the outside of the pewter fogged up to the filled line. It was visible to everybody. I just started crying like a baby. Father and the Deacon both came over and looked at what had happened. They patted my shoulder, telling me to go on serving Communion to the people.

We served everyone in the lines and when we were finished the cup was still full to the brim.

Father, the Deacon and all of the Ministers of Eucharist consumed the cup.

It was a true miracle of multiplication. If I ever had any doubts of the Real Presence, they ended on that day. We also had many parishioners who saw what happened come to Father and said that for the first time they were able to believe in the Real Presence when they couldn’t before.

The Priest was from Portugal. He was the only one who wasn't in the least shocked. He just said, it is Jesus, these things should be happening all the time.

He was so casual about it but still he was smiling with pleasure.

I had a few personal things stand out..Back in 73, just new in my conversion. I was having a group of kids from a youth group I hung with.I cme and the invited them over for volleyball. The day came and the sky was all storm clouds and rain was just starting..One brothe r was there and I said Lord. these our Your kids coming can You change the weather..In a matter of minutes a hole opened above us and the sky and just cleared before our eyes we just stood there in awe...Every time I share this I feel the hair stand on my arms.. We all rejoiced together and has a great time we ended up sunburned rather than drenched....A year or two later we were having a big charasmatic gathering and a bad storm was forcast..I uttered a prayer and in a little sing song I said "Lord take the snow and sent it to Buffalo"(NY)...The day was cloudy and we just got a dusting and had a great meeting..I got home aand turned on the 11 pm newss. The weather guy said for some reason the storm stalled west of us went straight north and dumped the whole storm on guess where, Buffalo, NY. Said it was the worse storm in 10 years..I sorta has an interesting talk with Abba that night..Another story , we had a christian gathering(20,000) that lasted for a few days with camping , worship and teaching..One day we were listening to a speaker and a big misty cloud floated above us in the beautiful clear blue sky.. I and others were watching it.. The mist disappeared and a large cross appeared in the sky(another goose bump story) Son people were pointing up to the sky all around us..We just rejoiced..I actually had a photo of it that turned out.
Another time we were at a meeting a long way away and came home late..The tank went empty and there were no stations around. It just keep running till we got home...I'm thinking we prayed and it came up 1/4 tank but I don't remember..Another time I was snapped in the eye with a towel when we were messing around.. This was PAINFUL..My cousin first reaction was to lay hands on me annd pray..Instantly hte pain stopped and my eye was like nothing happened..Another time I slipped in a clw foot tub when I was at college..I was in pain with cracked or broken ribs..I had no healthcare so I just prayed each night as I wrapped my arms tight to relieve the pain to sleep..On the thrid day I woke with my arm still holding my side..I left go and moved and had no pain..I got up and did all sorts of movements and mno pain..I just rejoiced. We were give a paper to do in Pscy class on the subject of out choice so I did' a report on healing..Needless to say the clas just stared as I gave this oral report.I got and A I think and it produced a good conversation with the Prof..ok I better wrap up before I think of more..Blessings..Kim

You just reminded me of something that happened to me last May. At the time I was in a really rough spot in life. Everyday seemed like I was in the garden of Getsemene with Jesus for a while. The anguish and anxiety was really bad. I began to doubt God's very existence as I became further and futher discouraged. I had begged God to help my unbelief in if He really existed as I was on my way to an appointment with the VA for an eval. As I arrived and made my way to the first appointment I was turned away because they mixed up their times and I was an hour early. So, I decided to go sit in my car and wait it out. As I reclined the seat and looked up I saw a cloud, this cloud was in the exact shape of a Cross and the sun was just above it. It looked like it had a corpus on it. Well needless to say my mouth dropped and I realize that clouds take on recognizable shapes naturally sometimes but never the less I scrambled for my cell phone camera and just as I was to click it dispersed into nothing. Miracle? You be the judge, but my doubt and feelings of discouragement were gone and I had the same feeling of awe that you discribed. I have also had a removal of physical joint pain thats plagued me for over 23 years vanish instantly never to return though I know the bones haven't changed. That still freaks me out because I can't explain it.

Peace.

Thats all the fun when you "can't explain it..God has a way of picking us up when we need it..His faithfulness is more real than out present realities.. The key is of unplugging of the natural one and plugging into the spiritual one..Really trusting and "knowing "that everything that happens is for our good and looking for He wants us to learn rather than looking at the negative and letting it drag you down.....

Thanks for sharing ..K

We all have stuff that just occurs around us all the time..Like operating in the gifts and during prayer the Lord s drops things in your mind and you share them and the people are amzed that you bring it up.. Or driving and your " held up" and find a wreck down the road.. I had an experience whe I was young of going down a big snow covered hill in a plastic boat and really flyingand I said duck to the others and here we went under barb wire...If we only know the interventions that go on for his saints..

We have to give our Guardian Angels much credit for keeping us safe.

By the way, have any of you given your Guardian Angel a nickname?
Mine's nickname is Pat.

Just think we have this angel with us our entire life and don't even know what to call it.

Hey Sis , No I never had any angelic contact. I just thank the Lord for His faithfulness in how He cares for us.. Now if any showed in my bedroom and asked me questions or told me something that would be a different story..Remember I'm you basic 'bible only" guy...Remember thought you never know if you have entertained angels..I've had some "I wonder" moments..

I've heard people get prophesies from other people who could not possibly know how precisely their words fitted only this person and no one else and it was amazing..

I have seen exorcisms.. I find that very New-Testament-like and to be a very powerful witness in our rational era where even some of my priests dont believe there is any such thing as evil spirits.

And then I have seen healings take place in front of my eyes through other peoples' laying on of hands.. lay apostles but also pastors and priests ...
I have also experienced someone get healed instantly from tinnitus through my own prayer.. but that was when my faith was more pure and joyful than it is today..

I've heard many secondary testimonies of people being raised from the dead but have not seen it myself as of yet.

Its just amazing that God is pouring His Spirit out upon the whole Christian world today without favourites.. anyone is invited to His Party. Praised be Yeshua <><

Doubting Thomas, He He. I do pray you will have an angelic encounter. There is nothing like it. We really we don't have human words to that can come close to describing the feeling. On a nother note, I aspire to be more like so many of you, well versed in scripture. I am one who has to study real hard, and over and over again, to get it. I have read many of your posts HisKid and have learned a lot. Peace and Blessings.

I have gotten into several bad car accidents.
One of them about 25 years ago, a car cut me off on a multi lane highway. I jammed on the brakes. I lost control of the wheel, I was going about 60mph I guess, the car turned right. I went head on and hit a semi (that was in the slow lane). I hit his front tire straight on. the car spun and I hit it on my drivers side door (I must of hit one of his back tires) and it spun a few times and stopped.
I didn't hit any of the other cars all around me.
My friend and I got out of the car (on his side) my door was smashed and didn't open.
We stood there and the other cars were all stopped and several people got out of their cars. One lady said I thought you would be dead. Others people had shocked and amazed looks on their faces, and asked do we need an ambulance or anything.

I did not even have a scratch on me. My friend's knee hit the dashboard, it was just a little sore.

And most amazing, we didn't have our seat belts on.
And I did not hit any other car either

You know with this or anything like it, some people may think, why didn't God just not let me get into the accident to begin with.
Praise God, He allowed it to happen.
Things like this show that God does indeed protect us and that miracles happen and that He is always in control.

And God is a great healer.
I have not had anything "instantly" healed with those around me...
But some pretty amazing healings non the less, when all seemed dim at best. Meaning death would probably occur sooner or later. My second daughter, mom, grandmother. All healed!

God is so good! Praise to Him always!

Well I can share a few experiances, I was in the really lazy mood and we had this speaker come to our church, My wife and I were with some other Christian friends and they wanted to go, I really didnt want to go, but I went because they all wanted to. So I'm sitting through the service and I just tell the Lord- "God I dont want to be here right now." I was not feeling very spiritual LOL In fact I was rather bored. So I look down at my hands, and my hands were covered in small flakes of Gold about as fine as dust. It wasnt sweat in my palms reflecting off the light. I checked the pocket of my friends hoodie he loaned me to see if his pockets had glitter---nothing--- My eyes got huge ! Needless to say I regained my attention really quickly. I showed my wife who was sitting next to me and she's like It's just God showing you he loves you.

Another time was, in 2004 our church took a Mission trip to Brazil- the people had fasted for 30 days before we got there. When the speaker called for the Holy Spirit to come, people just hit the floor. In order to pray for people we had to step on church pews because so many people had fallen out under the power you couldnt walk on the floor. In that particular church- my wife (who wasnt my wife at that time) went to pray for the children who were seated up in the balcony, and she said the children were very quiet and this one boy had anointing oil coming out the palms of his hands. She said she started to anoint the other children. This I did not see personally but my wife sure witnessed it. That church had a hunger like I've never seen any other place, they were there to see Jesus. When I walked into that church they were worship and as soon as I crossed the threshold I instantly got weak in my knees and started to weep because of His presance was so strong in that place. Retelling these things is bringing back things I have forgotten- what a wonderful thread

It always amazes me how God works through children. He has shown me over and over again how I am to be like, just by their example and the miracles he works through his little lambs.

Sounds like your wife knew just what to do! It appears she is so in tune to the Holy Spirit, that she didn't even question it, she just acted like the Holy Spirit wanted her to. Ah, the gift of faith and love!
