Greetings Church,
All of the news sources tell us we are just being hit with extreme multiple storms.
We have already had many accicents on I-5 between Redding and the Oregon Border and when last I heard, I-5 is closed north of Redding.
Several years ago, in this same kind of storm, a huge Digger Pine snapped off on our property and landed in the middle of our house. My kids and grandkids were here, taking care of our home. By the grace of God, even though the house was nearly demolished, my family survived without a scrach.
Well the area is expecting exactly the same sort of weather this weekend.
I lift up my prayers for the folks in this area. We are an area that is loaded with pines and oaks. They are older trees with much top weight. Since we love our rural life and the beauty of these old great trees, we, many of us, live right in the midst of them when the great rains and winds hit. Please pray for us.
Also, many of us depend on Satallites for TV and for Internet. I do. When the weather gets bad, we lose all contact with our satallite and that means communication with you all.
Today, my hubby went to Costco and bought lots of batteries and candles.
Now, I ask you to pray for this entire area. I am sure many people up here will need your prayers.
Thank you and Bless you.

Lord we praise you and thank you. You are our Savior and Help Jesus. We lift up the people to you who are in Northern California to be blessed and protected by you at this time.
Lord you have calmed storms before, and we know that you can do it again. Please answer Peacfeul's prayer. Just say the word and it shall be so Lord. Please send help and your guardian angels to minister to those in this area of the state.
We praise you and honor you Lord. Also please bless the first friday masses that are coming up all over the state. Keep your people safe on their journeys.
amen.

Right now it is lots of wind and rain. When I first got up I had no tv and no internet. I have the computer turned on and found a few minutes on line so here I am.
I have water stored, we are on a well, when the power goes so does the water. We also have lots of candles and batteries. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Snow levels are suppose to drop to 500 ft this weekend.
Lots of prayer time today and I might even get some beading done. lol
Catholic Flame, is the storm hitting you over on the coast very bad?

I know that the storm is bad in San Jose, causing a loss in power in some areas. Our corporate office has lost half of its power, and will be closing at noon today.
I'm in Monterey, and our power is flickering from time to time. Rain and winds have been heavy, but nothing extreme, but the storm is supposed to get to us later today.

I will be praying for you, our coastal neighbors.
We just talked to our Pastor and our First Friday Charismatic Mass is still a GO. Al and I will not risk leaving home. The Church is 22 miles from our house and we are out in the tulies. Our road has been closed several times with fallen trees and downed wires. I think we need to be home on nights like this.
I feel so sorry for my outside animals. 4 kitties and a 25 yr old horse. Please pray for them too.

Well to answer your question, as I was typing out a response here, the power went out!
hehe well just for a split second actually. But everything is not too bad. Just constant rainy rain. And strong wind!

Yep,
Our first little disaster. Our nextdoor neighbor lady just came to tell us one of her huge oaks came down and took down the back of our horse fencing with it.

I hope and pray that this is all the devastation that happens in this storm.

We are praying too. My Prayer Group is together tonight for First Friday Charismatic Mass.
Although we will not be going into town, they will be praying too.

We had lost power on many parts of the peninsula. It isn't raining at the moment, but there are still a couple areas that are without power. Soon after I posted here, power went out at my office, causing us to close before noon. Today, I'm working from home, to try to get done the stuff that needed to get done yesterday.

We are having a calm before the next storm.
The lights dim every so often but haven't crashed yet.
The TV and Internet, both on sattelite are sort of off and on when the wind blows or it rains very hard.
Keep us informed whenever you can.
Now the tv is predicting it might go on all next week.
