Do you know what forum the thread was in before it was deleted?

It was in the Women's Discussion.

This might be better answered if it were placed in the Ministry Discussion area? Would it be okay if it were moved to that forum?

Maybe, but there was a thread here before, which was closed and then edited. I was asking about that thread, also.

The second thread was an OP request to close.

Crazy Liz

It was a policy thread in a policy section. The OP had gotten other members interested in her issue, making it their issue, as well. It wasn't a thread about a personal topic.

Closing that kind of thread at the OP's request doesn't make much sense from a policy POV. I hope with a new Admin in Support the team's policies about closing policy-related threads at the OP's request will change.

Please feel free to create a new thread on the same topic. :) Hang let me look into something I have an Idea but let me check. Thank You.

Why doesn't someone just answer the question already? Don't move the thread, just get whoever knows the answer to click a link and come here to respond. Is that so hard?

Yes. It might breach Sooper Seekricy. :(

Perhaps the reason we can't answer it is because it wasn't our section to moderate, so we have no idea why it was closed.

Support Moderators are not going to know why Ministry moderators closed a thread. We are going to have to do the same thing we would suggest you do. Ask the Ministry mods.

The wiki thread was closed at the OP request, and I don't see any editing or deleting that done on any posts that weren't reported already. Those would have been edited due to concensus.

I thought the purpose of using a wiki format for policy discussions was to keep all the discussion of one topic in one thread, with a wiki at the top where the posts could be summarized from time to time.

Doesn't opening a new thread on the same topic defeat Lee's purpose in setting up this wiki format?

Looks like the first was deleted because the op had her question answered and has moved on...not been here since Nov, actually. Everyone was answering/asking the op questions and she was not around. If this topic is of interest to anyone else, they usually start their own thread anyway. It was moved from another section, although incorrectly, and we were getting reports of men in the thread.... The question is not off topic to the forum, so again, it is fine to begin another.

As for the answer to the second question...looks like it was closed at op's request

Okay so my idea was a fall through and I am sorry it wouldn't work.

That does raise a point about the wiki format that I dont think that has been brought to our attention before.

I apologize for my tardiness in responding RL has kinda kept me busy and tbh I lost track of this. Thank you for being so patient.

I can only give you the response to the thread that was in this area and as previously stated it was closed by OP request. I know we are looking at this and how it is used in sitewide policy also in relation to the wikis threads.

I believe that has been explained in post #15 of this thread.

Can you explain why links to it were deleted from this wiki?

http://christianforums.com/t6630518-...-a-thread.html
I found a link to it in the wiki, in post #12 of that Wiki. I"m not sure what was deleted.

Can you explain why the above wiki thread was closed and then several posts were deleted or edited after the closure?
The wiki was closed at the request of the OPer who started it in order to get a question answered.

Prior to closure a few posts had been reported. Those posts werea actioned as needed to remove either rule violations or quotes of rule violations.

I still remember all the threads where people were suggesting that if the name was changed back to CF then it would solve all the problems. Funny how now that the name has been changed the problems are still there!
