But see that is the challenge. Working within the framework of this forum and still getting your point across. I push the envelope all the time and I don't always get away with it. I have been reported and warned many times to not violate "rules" since I don't agree with many of the vagaries of them. I don't really believe that you would give up so easily. As I have been told before it takes more spirit to work for change within the system.

Like Rad said, getting yourself banned will accomplish nothing. You just have to learn how to express yourself within the rules limit as we all do. :)

Oh c' mon RT, don't give up so quick. Sometimes it just helps to get to know folks. You see how things are, and start to fit in. But always be yourself, and who God made you to be. :)

Listen to Rad - he knows what he speaks of.
One thing I've noticed about most of the posters of TCL is that they are generally pretty gracious when it comes to getting reported. They might grouse and gripe a bit sometimes, but they are pretty good about self-editing and listening to what the mods have to say. Even those who have been wrongly reported have, for the most part, been gracious about it.
Those that weren't gracious have tended to leave after a week or so because they just cannot get used to the way the site is run. Or they were just here to cause trouble and it's generally better that those people leave anyway.
A fresh perspective is always nice to see around here...and it is always good to have another WELS member around as far as I'm concerned. But as strongly as we believe what we believe, there are ways of posting about it that don't offend others. There are ways to convey our thoughts and questions without having to resort to name-calling while claiming that we have the biblical backing to do so. That is not Christ-like and is not loving.
The crux of the matter here is that we post our beliefs in LOVE. We are better than those that have to insult others' faiths because they are weak in their own faith. WE have biblical backing for what we believe. We have the bible behind us. We have GOD working for us.
As staff, I can say that you are not in danger in being banned from here any more than any other poster here. Following the rules isn't rocket science. If you know and understand the rules, then breaking them shouldn't be an issue. And if breaking the rules isn't an issue, then being banned isn't an issue. Pretty cut and dry.
Besides, Rockytrails, there have been others who have posted WAY worse than what you have posted, and they're still around here and there. So just be careful and be wise about how you word your posts from here on out, just like all of have to be.
In the real world, you may not agree with the speed limit, but you'll still get in trouble for breaking it. It's the same here.
God's blessings.

Hey RT,
I just wanted you to know that no one wants to ban you. I think your posts are interesting. I know that passion sometimes gets the best of us when we are trying to make a point about the Lord we love so much. Try not to take it personally if you are reported. The mods here are gracious and we want to try to encourage discussion.
