There is something awesome about today, the Feast of the Holy Family. Our roll models are Jesus, Joseph and Mary
For some beautiful reason it pulls me closer to all of you.
It identifies the Body of Christ as Church.
This morning, Father compared the altar in the church to the family diningroom table where we join together as family. He said that the dining table is our Family Altar.
He said that there is no excuse for the entire family not to be joined there. Not sports practice, dates, or anything. He mentioned more than I can remenber that kids and parents find as excuses not to sit for this meal together where we share our lives with each other.
I loved that.
He said that nothing but family meal should happen there. Not bill paying, home work, letter writing. The family table should be just for the family meal. It should be a family altar. Whoah. Is that an awesome image?

I know I can't say it like he did. I wish I could.

Yeah we have sometimes. We sing lots of songs! And we also sing some of our prayers (well quite a few of them of them actually, but it depends on where you go). All in all though, Catholics love music!!

If you lived where I do, you would know that catholics love to sing. It is like nearly all the parishes here have been greatly blessed by the charismatic renewal. Some more than others.
