OK...............so I have a countdown timer on our myspace and it shows how many days left until hubby comes home from Iraq. PFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT...................222 days yet. It feels so far away.............8 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sometimes want to pull my hair out from boredom and lonliness!!! I know when I get a job it will help with this, but come on....................222 days is a long time yet!!!!! Anyway..........just wanted to rant for once and show the weak side of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

You have a right to rant. My son was in Afghanistan for 14 months. That was like .... FOREVER .... to us. At least he came home safely. Enough people were praying for him, I guess. :(

And we want to have a baby really bad, but how does one accomplish that when YOU ARE NOT TOGETHER EVER??????!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P He was in Korea a year and now Iraq 15+ months?! :( Maybe I will be one of those 60 year olds who has a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you adopt a four-month old kitten, this will take your mind off of this, believe me. :P

He could always *cough* make a freezer storage *cough* and you could, uh, you know, get some help from the doctor (though it might be hard to explain to people why you're pregnant when he's been away...)

:P LOL..............great idea! HA HA! We'll see what happens when he returns in August. Big baby booms always seem to happen after deployments! If not..........then onto the next step..........specialist, etc. It's been 2 years now and no baby.........so..........we will see. It's all in God's hands!!!!!!! :)

Yeah, I know how it feels for one's hubby to be gone for months on end. 6 for our deal, but nevertheless, it's no fun. It's not too bad for me this go around because of the 2 children and 4 dogs. They keep me VERY BUSY. lol :P
Rant away, come and vent, keep counting down. Join some hobby group, maybe a reading group or some art activity. lol My husband got me a dog the Christmas before we married. I had her as company (well, also I moved in w/my parents so I wasn't all alone the first time he went to Korea). Anyway, a  to you!

Yay......................ONLY 205 days left..........wow.......time sure does pass by so quickly when one is having fun! ^_^ Does anyone sense the sarcasm in my tone here? :P
BEGIN RANT...........Being a military spouse (I am sure being a mother is better, but I am not one yet......as mentioned before.......LOL) is the best job in the world, in my opinion, but it sure does suck at times and take you to crap places! I really dislike where we live and have no friends or family. Like the only good thing here is our wonderful church, my nonas, and our marriage godparents (and their 7 children......soon to be 8). That is it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, support our troops, I agree, but what about us that are left behind to man the home fronts? Oh yay...........received an e-mail from our family readiness group leader (military) stating that the rumors of our troops coming home in April are false and we need to put on a kabosh on them. NICE............would've been to have them home 4 months early! Didn't even know the rumor exsisted until the e-mail! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! END RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rumors probably started when Adm Mullen said they are going to try to cut Army tours to 12 months. Well, that's the deal... try. And it probably doesn't go for the ones currently there. But I know how FRGs twist and turn thing and I swear the military is the biggest rumor mill ever.
I only have a friend or two outside the spouse group here. I've always been a bit of a loner so it doesn't bother me too much (I grew up on a farm away from any major city so it was a bit of a trip to go somewhere, I like my critters so they keep me company).
Enjoy the folks from church as some people don't even have that. Maybe later this spring I'll cruise down the coast... :)

Yea..........I don't do the whole FRG thing at all! I don't go to their meetings, events, etc. One time we went to one of their meetings (dinner thing) and it turned out to be a big salvation fest. I was so irritated. Plus everyone there was either of Mexican descent (and spoke to one another in Spanish) or pregnant. Nothing against Mexicans or pregnant people.............we just didn't fit into the whole sceme of the "get saved" Protestant evangelizing group thingy. So..........I pretty am much a recluse here........in our apartment. LOL! ^_^ Even when I worked it sucked (job was horrible how I was treated, etc.).

The Starbucks on base is probably the only one that doesn't have friendly people... but then again that seems to be the trend across the NEX (PX) or Commissary... sadly.

Awhhhhh............you have a Starbucks on base? How awesome! Yea, I have noticed many workers at BX's, PX's, commissary, etc. are kind of rude. NOT ALL, but some!

The only friendly folks are the baggers at the commissary and they only work for tips. :)
Yea, we were surprised that there is one on base too... it's in the NEX building tho. I wish they'd put in a drive-thru one... that'd be my downfall LOL.

I sometimes wouldn't mind being one of those beggers! Man.......they probably make more money some days, then the paid workers do there!
