We went this morning, and let me tell you, I was blown away. As you know, we've been attending Vespers each week, but not very many of this people with little kids come to that. Today it seemed like ALL the little kids were there, so my kids really enjoyed it.
I was good, until the Priest took away the "body and blood" and I started weeping. I never do that, but I was a bit overwhelmed - in a good way. I can't wait for the day when we are chrismated and can partake as well. Please pray that God would intervene in our lives, so that my husband can find a different job, and we can convert.
Have a great day everyone!

Awww, prayers for you!
The eucharist still gives me goosebumps each time. I was so sad before I got chrismated and could not partake in sacraments. I felt so empty.
I'll pray to St Xenia of St Petersburg, she's good with finding employment, so why shouldn't she be good for changing jobs too...

Yeah, I know the feeling of not being able to partake of the sacraments You feel left out. But I will be praying that you and your husband are soon able to be chrismated and enter His Church. :)

I can definitely empathize! Two weeks ago I was baptized and received my first Eucharist meal, but I've spent the recent months in Divine Liturgies each week without being able to partake.
When the Holy Mysteries were being brought out, served, and taken away, it was very helpful to me to pray, "Remember me, O Lord, in Thy Kingdom", and, "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled"... just prayed over and over again. And it's a great comfort and blessing just to watch the parish children partake...
If I have an encouraging word, it's this: you're not being starved! Rather, the services you attend should give you the greatest, most healthy appetite your soul can bear, and God is preparing to meet that hunger with heavenly, life-creating Mysteries- just pray, persevere, and hope!
I'll pray for you. :crosseo:

Welcome to Orthodoxy Seeking. It truly is wonderful to be able to partake of the Sacrement of Eucharist! I still thrill to it after nearly four years now too.:crosseo:

I'm glad it spoke to you STL.
I still shed tears when the Body and blood are brought out and distributed. I know exactly what you mean, "overwhelmed - in a good way". I pray I will still have the sense to weep when I partake, as well.
