View Full Version : High Winds + Fires --> Asthma in Southern California

Please pray.

People who suffer from asthma are having medical emergencies due to construction materials (like fine concrete particles) that are blowing in the Santa Anas right now in Southern California. The air smells chalky and it makes it difficult to breathe for everyone.

High voltage wires have crashed into palm trees and have set them afire. Ambulances and fire engines are sounding.

Roads and freeways have downed trees which block traffic.

We do not even know if we can make it to church tomorrow.

Please pray.

Many churches and homes are without power.
No power. No cooking.

The deadly winds with the chalky smelling air (visualize sitting in the front row of a math class) are everywhere present.

Oh that sounds perfectly miserable, Aria! How are you doing? Right now, the fireplaces burning is getting my sinuses worked up. That's miserable enough, but that chalkiness in the air must be far worse, and must feel like choking!

Praying for Southern California people. :crosseo:

I was one of those folks who had an asthma attack last night. My eyes are puffy and I am having difficulty walking.

There is no way I can get to church today, but there are other folks who are suffering a lot more.

When I heard that warm weather would greet us on Christmas morn, I had no idea that it would be brought on by the powerful winds known as the Santa anas. The two seem to go together in the late fall and winter months.

It seems you need some rain down there. Oh, how I hate asthma! It really debilitates a person. :(

Rain is predicted for Thursday.

And of course, it will be windy.

Praying for less wind and more rain. :crosseo:
