Luk 2:8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luk 2:9 And behold, an angel of the Lord
stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
Luk 2:10 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
Luk 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Luk 2:12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."
Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
Luk 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

At this time of year, although for some...Christmas sometimes means hustle and bustle and at times can be somewhat hectic and stressful....

...and sometimes a very sad time of year...

I believe that it is also a time when many people, even those that do not know nor accept Jesus Christ... put aside their differences to come together with friends and family.

...peace and goodwill toward one another

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Blessed New Year

Someone commented to me recently that I don't celebrate Christmas.
Surprised by this statement, I asked, what made her think that?
And she replied because I don't have a Christmas tree.

Is this what the common non-Christian perception of what Christmas is about? Has Christmas been reduced to and epitomized as nothing but a Christmas tree?

That is just sad....so very sad....

It doesn't matter what it means to me or you.
what matters is what it means to the Lord and what he saids about it because he is true christianity and he is the word.

If you really believed this, why are you here posting? This is what you think it means, so this is in effect what it means to you. And if you really didn't think it mattered, you wouldn't post this.

Being in church and giving all of the money THAT WE WOULD PLAN SPENDING ON BUYING PEOPLE PRESENTS to my church (the house of Christ). The wise men gave gifts to Christ not Mary and Joseph.

The birth of our Savior - Which is God's greatest gift to mankind. He sent his only begotten son on earth to die for our sins and that we may recieve eternal life.
