I posted this elsewhere and will post it in a couple more places. Please read it prayerfully and with Christ as our example.
Now is a troubled time for our world. Christians MUST unite to fight the ultimate evil, not divide to fight each other over our differences. While our backs are turned on the world and our swords are flailing against one another, Satan grows his kingdom on earth.
Wols used to post a comedic conversation between two terrorist in threads that became nothing but silly mudslinging to gently show us the folly of our disharmony. It was funny, but very, very true. Unfortunately, very few of us ever got the point.
Are Catholics Christian? Baptists? Presbyterians? Yes.....and no. None of us can claim to be 100% right and none of us can claim that the other Christian faiths are 100% wrong. Do we agree that Christ and Christ alone purchased our salvation? Yes. Can any of us say that 100% of the people who fill our particular church is truly saved? I think not. Our bickering is a big, fat waste of time. The bible warns us against it. And it gives strength to the enemy.
My apologies to all I have offended. I'll do it again, hopefully less than I have in the past. Here's how humans operate: sin, repent, sin, repent, sin, repent. We need to repent and love one another, pray for one another and our world.
Often I see the fights break out when we tear down another belief to elevate our own. My challenge to all of us is this; have enough faith in your beliefs that they may stand alone, on the foundation of Christ, not on the foundation of another's beliefs that you have slandered.
