I just want to honestly share some thoughts..I sorta am amazed when I visit forums I see threads about pet peeves..I read through and honestly think they should be flesh peeves...I guess I can't get away with things like some..Not that I won't to "get away' with anything but my spirit is sensitive..Like I might say something to hurt my wifes feeling I just fell like I need to respond asap and make it right to maintain the peace I am used to walking in..Guess I am real sensitive..
I guess I just think it is best to give pet peeves to the Lord to mature me and get to the point they are not peeves but chances to mature in the Lord..I , like many believers like to keep a short list and be transparent with the Lord.. I still like to debate and due my best to debate the issue and not debate the person...Rather than have a pet peeve I struggle with the homosexual issue and how people can wash away the meaning of Romans 1 and understand why Christains cant apply 1 Cor 5 to those who say there are in Christ but don't live the life..Why must we be seen as intolerant fundygelicals and unloving...
Thanks for lettting me share and lets press onto the mark..shalom..Kim

I also have a problem with the homo-sexual issue.
I work in an office with only 8 people. One of our newer hires is a lesbian lady who is very open about it. She is a former Catholic, former Evangelica who freely admits to at least one abortion. She is a strong feminist and politically extremely liberal. I find that I have a terrible time with this combination of charisteristics.
We have such a wonderful office. We are truly like a very close family.
I am sure that God has put me in this situation to increase my capacity to love.
What do you all think?

Thats why I feel some seem to glaze over how we should associated with those whose call themselves Christians but walk not as they should...I mean wash over 1cor 5 to be loving and politically correct..

I believe sometimes God puts people in our lives to help us love more...it is easy to love people we like, but God wants us to love our enemies and people we dislike or disagree with too. :)

I believe that God has put you in this situation to increase your capacity to love as well. But don't feel bad, such characteristics would irritate me as well. I'd probably end up speaking up about it and would not be so charitable either. :( I pray that if I am ever in that situation that I do not act like that. :crossrc:

God acts in such unexpected ways.
We had a gift exchange at work. We draw names and we keep a secret whose name we get. Guess what. I got hers and she got mine.
I was in a delema what to give her so I gave her a gift card to B. Dalton Book store. She took time and shopped for me. She gave me a very pretty silver colored scoop, like a large coffee scooper. At the top of the handle was an Angel, on the back of the scoop was a heart with a lovely cross in the center. It is a lovely gift and she told me she knew I was a Christian and might like something like that. I have it hanging on the wall in my Kitchen.
She hugged me and wished me a very happy Christmas.
You are right, I think. God put her there for me to learn and to love more.

God lives in people in mysterious ways. We could not survive without His life giving Spirit. And I'll bet that somewhere in Her life, God is there, she may not just know that it is Him yet.
Praise the Lord! and Merry Christmas

Thats a beautiful story Peace.
I too have a struggle in that area,
and so God has had to do much
work in my heart to teach me
to love all, and not to judge.
But for the grace of God, goes me.
TRULY.
Thank you Father, for where you put
us, for all you've done in us.
