Restocking?

I hope I'm posting this in the right section...and hopefully it won't seem like a stupid question... :sorry:

How often are the items restocked?

Cuz I've been wanting to buy quite a few things within the last two weeks and they're sold out. :doh:

Items are normally restocked around the 1st and 15th of the month... Specials of the Month (right now that would be Christmas stuff) is restocked more often.

Thanks for the standard response, but we are well past December 1st. The re-stocking is well overdue.

Yes, what is happening with restocking? It hasn't been done for a long time now - and really should be something that is done automatically (it's easy to write the code and set up a CRON job), and not be dependant on any one person!

Maybe this has more to do with Qs posts about running the armoury down? Seems to be true so far... especially as people can't even buy all the base body styles they want to!

I think a proper explanation from somebody on staff here is now well overdue!

The restocking process has been extremely slow, and I've only been able to restock 3-4 categories at a time due to the pure length of time it takes. Any time there is a problem with the image servers on the site, it usually also affects the armory unfortunately.

I got to the bottom of the list on the morning of the 24th, though. So, most everything should be restocked.

The restock doesn't take place until an item is completely sold out. So, if an item had 1 or 2 left in inventory it could run out almost immediately after the restock takes place and stay out of stock until the next time.

The armory team has some requests for the technical folks to make the restock and a lot of other armory related processes faster and easier, but I don't know when they'll have time to work on these items. There's a LOT on their plates right now.

My apologies for the delays. I hope things will go a little more smoothly in January, even if there are no process changes.

Any time a character item (other than hairstyles) runs out of inventory, please feel free to send me a PM. We restock them any time we know we're out.
