Erwin man,
I was thinking. I know how hard it is to design a site, but I was thinking maybe with the Holiday's coming you could throw a little Christmas hat over the fish up there next to the ChristianForum logo December 1st? Sorta make it look all decked out and such.
What do you think?

I think it sounds like a really neat idea, but Erwin is a busy guy and it's really a lot of work for a short period of time when it really isn't needed. I doubt it flies...but hey, I've been wrong many times in the past! :D
But, I do think it is a neat idea...here's some blessings for thinking of it!

You could also argue that a christmas hat, like one "santa" wears, isn't very christian at all. Maybe a snowman, that's pretty neutral..I think

I got a candy, I got a popcorn ball... I got a rock... Yeah, it's one of my favs too. It's not Halloween without that movie. The Christmas one is better though, haha. ^_^
Thanks JOYfulbeliever! Thanks allot. And yes, I understand Erwin is a busy guy, that's why I was thinking maybe we could do it for him and have him upload it? Hmm, just a suggestion.

Aw man, c'mon you're taking it to seriously... Alright, maybe a snowman but also, when you see a Christmas hat it doesn't automaticly mean it's Santa or anything, I understand your concern and yes a snowman would be cool too.
I do also respect what that fish stands for, now that I think about it, it might be cool to do a snowman instead.

Give the fish his/her own little St. Nick hat ...or at least a red and green scarf to keep him from getting cold. Brrr :)

yeah it's neutral if you live in the northern hemisphere, where it does snow over christmas, but for those of us in the southern hemisphere (erwin included) it's hot! hot and dry!!
i think the best solution would be a mini nativity scene...or the star that led the wise dudes to bethlehem...or something...

I'm really up for anything guys,
Basicly I wanted to just get that option out there. I feel it would be neat to have CF decked out for Christmas that way, and now I'm leaning towards something more, well more Christian like. Like you stated Jono, a nativity scene would be pretty nice, and the star that would be nice too.
Like I said, I'm open for anything. :)
or the star that led the wise dudes to bethlehem
LOL!!! Dudes... LOL!!! ^_^

Okay, let's run a competition. :)
Members who have the time - feel free to download the CF logo, and modify it so that it is a Christmas theme, then post the logo here.
The best logo will be put up as our official Christmas logo over the month of December. :) And win 50,000 blessings!
If there is more than 1 logo, I can rotate them - all winners chosen get 50,000. :)

what a cool idea!
another suggestion is to have a holiday forum. or a thread to discuss different seasonal topics. Kinda like is it okay for christians to include santa in christmas why or why not
again just another suggestion, understand if this doesn't fly because there is already a lot of threads,

*Falls off of chair* Whoa, alright well hey then I better get to work.
If I found a picture of a hat off of google when I hit search for images would I have to worry about copyright issues?
Just a question before I start, or if I start. :P
Erwin
2nd December 2003, 10:34 PM
Yes, there would be a copyright issue there. Best to take a hat off a public domain site.
