1. He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
2. Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and
3. from the noisome pestilence.
4.He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shall you trust:
5. his truth shall be your shield and buckler.
6. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night;
7. nor for the arrow that flies by day;
8. Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness;
9. nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
10.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
11. Only with thine eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD, which is your refuge, even the most High, your habitation;
12. There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come nigh your dwelling.
13. For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
14. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
15. You shall tread upon the lion and adder:
16. the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under feet.
Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will
17.I deliver him:
18. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
He shall call upon me, and
19. I will answer him:
20. I will be with him in trouble;
21.I will deliver him, and
22.honour him.
23.With long life will I satisfy him,
24. and show him my salvation.
The Contents of Psalm 91 above is numbered according to the
promises, not numbered according to verses. But the entire
91st Psalm is posted above.
Next we will discuss the conditions of those promises which
you can see in the Scriptures above and study up before we chat!

Now let's talk about the conditions of the promises in the 91st Psalm.
Who is it that shall abide under the shadow of the almighty, and be able to make such a claim
as 'He is my refuge and my fortress', and be delivered from the snare of the fowler as
well as the noisome pestilence, and be covered with the feathers under His wings and all of the things listed through promise 11?
A. He that dwells in the secret place of the most high.:clap:
This is someone who makes appointments with the Lord daily (at least) and keeps them,
being jealous of the time they spend with the Lord, and not allowing the "bus-i-ness"
of the day steal from it.
Between promise 11 and 12, there is a condition,
in alignment with the first that says: because you have made the Lord, which is your refuge,
even the most High, your habitation.... in consistent fellowship with the Lord, living Him,
breathing Him, speaking His truth, feeding on His Truth, the Bread of Life, His living water,
no evil will befall you and neither shall a plague come near your home. He will give His angels
charge over you, and bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. In other words, He
will send His angels to encamp around you keeping you safe from the evil one, from temptations,
from slipping or stumbling, from falling into sin and make sure you are blessed
when you go out and blessed when you come in, when you rise and when you sleep.
You will be made an overcomer and will not be overcome, by things that naturally
could harm you such as a venomous snake (adder) or a lion etc.
Because you have set your love on me, the Lord says, these things are yours. Not because
you go to Church, not because you are part of the choir or work in the nursery or do any
of "those" things. All of those things are good, but NONE of those "things" that keep us
bizzy are as pleasing to the Lord than that one on one time with Him. Him and you alone.
Because you have set your love on Him and because you know His name, you keep Him
on the forefront of your mind, all that He is with an attitude of thankfulness and worship,
He will deliver you and lift you up, (reward you openly, bless your life, cause you to be a blessing)
Because you have known His name you will call Him and He will answer!
He will be with you through any trouble, deliver you and honor you!
The Most high, honor me? YES!!! "What is man that you are mindful of Him?"
(Psalm 8:4a and Job 7:17 "What is man, that you should magnify him? and that
you should set your heart upon him?"
That is why satan is so jealous of you!!! You are special to God! He thinks about you!
He waits for you, in the day and in the night....enthusiastically awaiting your arrival
in the secret place! No creature God has ever created got this much attention!
..............and with long life will He satisfy you and show you, your salvation.
Have you neglected any of your fellowship time with the Lord? I, for one have been
guilty lately and today I am going to make a commitment to changing that
with a quickness! I can tell the difference for sure, and it makes me very sad
to think that God waited for me,and I stood Him up. :cry:
Has God been waiting for you, and you didn't come? If so, make a commitment
with me today to covet your time with the Lord once again, and become
jealous of that time once again and possessive and not allow anything to
steal from that precious time with the Lord any more.
God bless you all today.
Love In Christ,

This is one of my favorite Psalm...Psalm91.
This was the Psalm that my church meditated during the SARS period in Asia and none of my church member was killed by that virus.
To many Christians, this Psalm is like to far fetch and undermining the protection of our Father.
This Psalm reminds me of the Ark of the Covenant...whereby the wings Cherubim cover the Mercy Seat...that is our shelter of protection.
Psa 91:3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
In verse 3, we may have the snare of the fowler and deadly pestilence, but He will deliver us.
Psa 91:14 "Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
Psa 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Psa 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Verse 14 - 16 reminds me of the New Covenant promises...where God says "I will"...none of us....all of God, because "He will", for He is our Yeshua (Salvation). We just need to rest and believe in His promises.

Amen. God will do as He says He will, if we will
incline our ears and hearts to His Word and do
what He says! :thumbsup: Thank you for sharing your
testimony. God bless and Merry Christmas!
If any man hears my voice and opens the door.......
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice,
and open the door, I will come in to him, and will
sup with him, and he with me.
My personal favorite Psalm is #119
