Prayer Request

We met a young woman through a friend of ours, we haven't known her long, but found out that she has cancer that is spreading. She also is divorced and has young children. She is a believer, but not knowing her well I don't know how strong her faith is. Her Dr.only expects her to live another 6 months.

She and her family desperatly need prayer.I know God can do a miracle and heal her if it is His will.

Thank you Cris. This young woman is so sweet. I think the mutual friend who introduced us has been brought into her life as a blessing to her and for spirutal support. I pray that God does a wonderful work in her spiritually and heals her too. Her kids are so young, I know they need her very much.

We (my wife and I) have a friend at church who has terminal liver cancer. She is a dear friend to us and we are saddened to see the effect that this cancer is having on her.

The Lord's will is to heal. So, pray according to His will
and believe when you pray.

Mark 1:40-42
Then a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him,
"If You are willing, You can make me clean." And Jesus, moved with compassion,
put out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I will, be cleansed."
As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.


One of God's names IS- Jehovah-Rapha which means,
"The Lord your Healer", Exodus 15:26.

Jesus paid the price for our healing at the cross.

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses) and carried our sorrows (pains); yet
we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded
for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4,5

Healing was purchased for all who will believe,
by the shed blood and broken body of Jesus in the atonement.

It is as available to us as salvation is to them that believe.

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having
died to sins, might live for righteousness-- by whose stripes you were healed.
1 Pet 2:24

It is not a question anymore. He has already done it. It is past tense.
All that is left is "receiving" it.

Jesus instructed us to pray and release God's Kingdom (His will) on earth as it is in Heaven.
Matthew 6:10. Is there sickness in Heaven? No. Neither should there be to
them that believe on Him on the earth. Pray with confidence, believing as God
is not a man that He would lie. We can believe and depend on every word that
proceeds from the mouth of God.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us,
whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked
of Him. 1 John 5:14,15

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it
more abundantly. John 10:10

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with
power,who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed
by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down
from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow
of turning. James 1:17

God's will is that we would believe and recover.
It is satan's will that we would fear in unbelief and die!

We have an enemy that desires to destroy us, whom we are to resist
steadfast in the faith. (James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8,9)

Lay hands on the sick BELIEVING and they shall recover!

James 5:14-15
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let
them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him
up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.


But let us ask in FAITH believing, nothing wavering.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave
of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that
he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable
in all his ways. James 1:6-8 (prayers without believing God will do as He says
are useless. I would never let someone pray for me that does not believe that
God will honor His Word, because they might as well pray for me that I get
a good plot in the cemetery! That is why when death came knocking on my door
a few years ago, I shared it with few people. I didn't want anyone to pray me into
the grave! Faithless prayers are DEAD prayers. Read the above Scripture again.)

God has not changed! He is and always was Jehovah Rapha!
