I truly believe that Jesus wants to bless you right now.
This is a link to a Life in the Spirit Seminar. What that is is a way of leading you into a prayer that God will be much more the Lord of your Life. All of this life is in Jesus our Christ, our Savior.
He will help you to have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling with you in a deeper way through the prayers that will come to you. This is a fuller acceptance of the grace you have already received in your baptism and confirmation. We have already received the Holy Spirit as God's gift to us, and here as we pray, God will stir that gift into life within us. It will be beautiful, you will receive the what God wanted you to have when He first gave you that gift. Sometimes, we just aren't ready yet but God knows the right time.
Ask the Lord Jesus if He would help you to become fully immersed in His Holy Spirit now.
and be blessed. For: it is not by power, not by might, but by my Spirit, says the Lord.

you can print this out and have a quiet mini-retreat with the Lord if you like. It helped me so much to do that. God bless you

not to sound mean, but are you saying that water baptism is not baptism in the Holy Spirit?

Greetings Rhamiel,
To be honest, I have never felt comfortable with the use of the term Baptism in the Holy Spirit as it is used in the Charismatic Renewal. I wish another term had been used from the beginning but it wasn't.
I think it tends to be a little confusing.
We are not to confuse the "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" with the Sacrament of Baptism or Confirmation.
We do receive the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments.
However, let me explain it to you this way.
In the Sacraments we receive the Holy Spirit and the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
For some reason no clergy or teacher has been able to explain to me, during Sacrament preparation classes we were not taught much if anything about the New Testament gifts but only the Old Testament ones.
However, we received the New Testament Gifts during Confirmation. Probably because of lack of teaching, it was like receiving Christmas gifts that were all wrapped up in paper, taped and tied with ribbon that we stored away, unopened. In many cases, they collected dust, under our beds or in a closet for years.
In the Charismatic Renewal, we teach about these gifts and the Fruits of the Spirit in our Life in the Spirit Seminars or during teachings in Prayer meetings. So, when one goes through the "Baptism in the Holy Spirit", I prefer to call the experience a "Release" or something of that nature, we lay hands on you and pray that the Gifts are manifested in your life. It is like you taking the gifts from under your bed, pulling the ribbons and tape off, ripping away the wrappings and for the first time, examining the gifts you were given many years ago. Then the gifts are put into use.
The Holy Spirit has given you whatever gifts he has chosen just for you. They are given for the Building up of the Body of Christ but at the same time, certain of these gifts edify you personally too.
I hope this didn't confuse you, it is one of the best ways I know to explain the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

...
I am sorry but I do not think I understood all of that PD
so "baptism of the Holy Spirit" means a joyful living in the Holy Spirit, it is seperate, does not replace, from Baptism? Ok, that is good

It does not in any way replace the Sacraments.
If we are genuinely Catholic Charismatics, we will always move closer and closer to the Sacraments. They will, in fact, become more meaningful in our lives. So will Sacred Scripture.
Yes, I think you could say it makes us more joyful in the Holy Spirit. Joy is one of the Fruits.
Also we will start operating in the gifts, the Charisms.
These gifts are given to us by the Holy Spirit for a Reason that is important to Him. He does not do things frivolously. He expects us to discover these gifts and use them.

Here is a prayer that is very close to the Renewal in the Holy Spirit prayer to ask Jesus to renew our baptismal promises and a little more.
Please watch it and pray if you are inspired to do so. I hope you wil pray along today with this. God would love that for you.

And I like that explanation. And yes, I too wish another name had been used but "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" is the name of the seminar.
Also wish that the gifts of the Holy Spirit would be better noted (and there are quite a few--not only the gift of speaking in tongues.) It almost seems to me that while the Holy Spirit may want to give one of the other gifts, the recipient is saying "If it's not speaking in tongues, it doesn't count".)

Dear AMDG,
yeah there are indeed many gifts of the Spirit. I totally agree with you. I think that the first gifts that we receive are faith in God and hope and charity. Even if only in a small degree, these prepare us for the greater workings of God in our lives that are to come.
