View Full Version : Is this a flame?

Before Ronald Reagan was an outspoken opponent of Communism, he was involved in several Communist groups.

Is this a flame? I'm curious because I was told this morning that a similiar statement about another public figure is flaming.

I'm just trying to sort out what historical facts we can acknowledge and which ones we can't.

Nope, it's addressing history, not flaming, though you'll need more than that to convince people, but I doubt that one line is your whole post on the matter.

Like I said, it wasn't this statement that was called flaming, but another, similar statement. There really wasn't anything more to it than that.

The only reason I used the example of Ronald Reagan's history with Communism is because the person in my actual statement gets a much more emotional response and I didn't think I'd get an honest answer if I said who the real person is.

Like I said, though, the person who called it flaming even admitted that what I said is true but, because it was about the public figure it was about, it's now considered "flaming".

First, they tried to take the defense of sound doctrine away from us.

Now, they're trying to take historical facts away.

It's a little disturbing to think where they might go next.

I've been waiting to see if anyone had an answer to your question.
How dare you speak the truth on a public forum?! :swoon:
