1)Worst = Sarah Brightman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOJhznxKKU8
Don't get me wrong, she's good, but this? http://i.imdb.com/Photos/CMSIcons/emoticons/basic2/no.gif
I'd actually rank her version up there with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jlk8bTyFvYo
Third, I'd place Christina Aguilera's version on my worst-of O Holy Night lists because, she's another excellent singer but why did she resort to making a complete melismatic mess of it:

I don't see what's so terrible about it, lol...have you ever been to opera? ;) it's not my favourite version of O Holy Night, but it's better than #2, which made me laugh by the way ^_^
As for Christina Aguilera, I don't like how she sang it as a pop song; I mean it's a hymn!
I think my favourite versions are..by Josh Groban and Celine Dion

 to #2.
Was he serious?:D :D :D
not only was the rhythm horrid and non- existant, it sounded like he was strangling a cat
Christina's could have been beautiful
My absolutely favorite version is when it's sung by a tenor.

I liked #1, #2 I could have done without, and #3 would be toleratable without all of the waoha, waoha, wahohas. :(

I liked #1 and #3....the one Sarah Brightman sung it operatically...while Agulera did a ...gospel kind of twist....still very good try... she has a beautiful voice, but I think she tries to be hip...and that is why she sang it that way.....
#2 was a parody....and I listerned very little since he was totally off....blah
God bless,

I've never been to an opera, no.
She was perfectly on the notes each time, it's just in between the facial expressions and about half-way through onwards, she's unintelligible, I just thought it was horrible LOL.
I think the 'pop' version of O Holy Night I like best is by Mariah Carey (the high note is like, whoa!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlwuMZxBy9U

Small improvement over #3, but still not as grand as #1. Sorry, I think this classic song deserves a classic singer, and not a gospel-type of singer. :o

Christina Aguilera has an amazing voice, but she sang this hymn to poppy and should've done it a little more soft.

Wow! Thanks for the laughs. I love that the first one uses the old split-screen-I'm-singing-to-a-ghost-like-image-of-myself trick. And she did get completely incomprehensible through most of it. But the second one was pure gold. It never ceases to amaze me how someone with such a horrible voice can sing with such confidence. I'm a pretty decent singer (or so I've been told) and I have very little confidence singing in front of people. If I had that much confidence, I'd probably be a really good singer. The third one is just bleh.

#2 makes me want to stick a fork in my ear.
