A saint that you admire? A name you might take at your Entrance into the Church? I am thinking of changing mine so it is just my first name... anything (within the bounds of good taste) goes I guess :)

I second the 'Saint you admire' option :)
One of these days I'll change mine, but probably not until I'm baptised. It'd just feel weird with it changed now.

Oh, and I've been planning on a name change for about a month, now. No longer cygne... now my patron saint's name. :)

Cygne, (its gonna take a while to break the habit LOL!)
I like your new name thats awesome :)
I like my name, its straight forward, but I do not know if I like my last name on there.. I guess it doesn't matter as it is on my email address as well... I dunno... just been burned too many times by people with an axe to grind because I am so personal with myself...

:) Thankyou...but it really makes no sense. I am hardly 'lord'...it should be Kyria, at least!

meh... details...
I have had countless Russian priests tell me, "Your name should be Juvenal... no "y!" Kinda funny. ;)

LOL...oh well :)
My name will be (God-willing) Kyriaki...if you hadn't got that much from my avatar and signature :P
Sort of similar to my real name (Kyrie is usually pronounced Kiri and is short for Kyrie-Eleison) but less weird ^_^

I was just noticing your thing under your signon "Christmastime is summertime!"
Although I always knew that NZ and the Downunder had the season directly opposite ours in the Northern Hemisphere, I guess i never put it together that while when we think "Christmas" we usually think of snow and white and all that... you guys equate Christmas with... beaches? LOL That's so cool!
Also, while I know that you guys have different images in mind when thinking about Christmas, I was curious if your mind still connects Christmas with images of snow and sleighs and white and all of that just purely due to American imports of movies and TV shows?
Just curious.
I don't know enough about you to suggest names. Sorry :(

:) Thanks Melania.
And Xpy - yes, it's summer here at Christmas!
Kids get things for the beach a lot here, rather than sleds and ice skates and things. And we eat the traditional lunch, even though it's usually waaaaay too hot, and then all the adults fall asleep from too much hot, rich food on a hot day, and all the kids who are somehow immune to that run off to the beach.
I don't really connect with the wintery images... I understand them, because we get a lot of northern hemisphere (mostly american) media here, but it's not what I think of when I think of Christmas.
This year I am making a mango and sesame icecream pudding :D

man, I would have thought rather than lunch you would have had a killer bbq in the evening since the suns out late, it's cooler then and... at least in Aussiland I hear we don't even hold a candle to you when it comes to bbqs!
Either way it's interesting. Thanks for the insight into your brains. Somehow I am going to use this in my classes this year... to somehow talk about how it is important to see things from others' perspectives (since I teach languges).
Thanks again!

Arizona is America's Australia...
No winter, not even close. They usually do something for food, sometimes Mexican... you listen to the songs but it totally messes with your head for an entire month...
Being in Cali now I am getting the cooler weather but still no chance of snow... *sob* I miss you snow....

Unless Arizona has 40*C on Christmas day.... that's about 110*C to you crazy americans...
Ugh.
And yes we have BBQs...often for dinner that night :) And no, our BBQs are better than everyone's. They are yummy, with lots of salad and meat and...yum. We eat a lot of prawns (shrimp) at Christmas too.
Melania is cygne :D
