Why the prophecies? - Are of great importance, when prophecy fulfilled, attest the truth and the truth comes from God.
The unbelievers can not see that the Bible is God's work, but the prophecies demolish those arguments.

Isaiah prophesied the coming of Jesus and the mission to carry out, and from which, it is written in the next reading.

Jesse was Father David, and Joseph husband of the Virgin Mary was a direct descendant of David and adoptive father of Jesus.
Jesus son of God. He was born and lived as a man, without titles or positions, but with a mission to give his life for all mankind, good men and bad men.
and also gave us his Holy Spirit Since the Holy Spirit is the Knew of God, transforms us in the image and likeness of God.

Let's look at the wonders of the story of Isaiah:

isaías 11

1 1 (http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/isaiah/isaiah11.htm#foot1) But a shoot shall sprout from the stump of Jesse, and from his roots a bud shall blossom.
First David and then Jesus

2 2 (http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/isaiah/isaiah11.htm#foot2) The spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him: a spirit of wisdom and of understanding, A spirit of counsel and of strength, a spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD, 3 and his delight shall be the fear of the LORD. Not by appearance shall he judge, nor by hearsay shall he decide, 4 But he shall judge the poor with justice, and decide aright for the land's afflicted. He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. ( The Gospel )

5 Justice shall be the band around his waist, and faithfulness a belt upon his hips It describes the mission of Jesus that culminated on the cross, his words are words of eternal life, his words are spirits that are mentioned in verse 2

The messianic peace

Following is the reason and goal of the sacrifice of the cross was written in metaphor, not to see those who do not want to see and not hear those who do not want to hear.

For God, this was fulfilled, for us this is happening and nobody can stop what God has done.

6 3 (http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/isaiah/isaiah11.htm#foot3) Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; The calf and the young lion shall browse together, with a little child to guide them. 7 The cow and the bear shall be neighbors, together their young shall rest; the lion shall eat hay like the ox. 8 The baby shall play by the cobra's den, and the child lay his hand on the adder's lair. 9 There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the LORD, as water covers the sea. 10 On that day, The root of Jesse, set up as a signal for the nations, The Gentiles shall seek out, for his dwelling shall be glorious.

Yea there is no doubt in my mind that the God that we serve is the true God. Fulfilled prophesy validates Jesus as the Christ. Mary is also in the line of David, but not through solomon, but Davids son Nathan. Because of Solomon trangresion. are you Amil?

Psalms
Chapter 118 1 1 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/psalms/psalm118.htm#foot1) Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever. 2 Let the house of Israel say: God's love endures forever. 3 Let the house of Aaron say, God's love endures forever. 4 Let those who fear the LORD say, God's love endures forever. 5 In danger I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. 6 The LORD is with me; I am not afraid; what can mortals do against me? 7 The LORD is with me as my helper; I shall look in triumph on my foes. 8 Better to take refuge in the LORD than to put one's trust in mortals.
