Great idea CatholicFlame!
This is from The Call 2007 in Nashville TN, it is held in a different city every year. This isn't specifically Catholic or any denomination, nor is it specifically Charismatic, although the event is attended mainly by charismatics and Pentecostals. It's a worship/music/dance/prayer/fest/meeting/retreat, type thing ;)

Hey everyone,
I wanna post this video for you all and ask, if you have never lifted up your hands to the Lord, maybe this could be your chance.
Just lift up your hands at the beginning of the second song and tell Jesus that you praise Him for who He is.

I hadn't heard that one you just posted before though. Ohh you have no idea, tht song is so similar to part of teh mass that we pray as catholics "Hosanna." Whoa, she even sang it almost the same way that we sing it in some fo the catholic churches I attend. Unbelievable!!!
I would love to go to a Hillsong concert some day soon. Praise...our...Lord.

 the lyrics:
I see the king of glory
Coming down the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Staring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
(chorus)
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
As for the chords, hmmm...you could try Googling 'Hillsong Hosanna chords'? ;)

Hi Neph,
I am really curious. Please tell me true. Have you seen something totally different than your old view of the Catholic Church? No, not a loaded question. I promise you.
I just truly want to hear what former Catholics see happening in the Catholic Church at this time.
There has been so much prayer, from the Pope on down for Renewal in the Church. We believe we are seeing it happening. How bout you?

Hi PC
I'm not sure how detailed or truthful you wanted me to be without sounding like I'm flaming the RCC. Everytime I honestly give my opinion of the RCC I usually get reported. :sigh: Let me put it this way, there always is a place for quite reverence but when it' seems to be practised 100% of the time I get turned off. There needs to be a balance!
BUT, let me tell yah something, the stories and testimonies from you, CatholicFlame, and Father Rick and watching these videos has showed me something that I have never seen in the RCC, ever. I'm actually very happy about this. As you and I have talked about before, there will also be a spot in my heart for the RCC because it's in me, just like there will always be a spot in your heart for whatever Protestant denomination you grew up on. So to see Catholics openly worshipping God, freely, has been a blessing to see. Even if the gifts were not present and or practised, I still would be impressed because like I said, there is a place for silent, mellow, reverence but there needs to be a balance. When it's time to jump and shout, or dance and sing then you need to practise that as well. God delights in watching His children get excited about Him and for the same things that He gets excited abou, and yes, I'm seeing that happening in the RCC! :)

Thank you for this truthful answer.
I just realized that you have hardly seen much of the Catholic Charismatic worship except for the jumping, clapping and shouting. You have not been able to share with us the deep, quiet praise of worship songs like Sanctuary and such. The singing in tongues and allowing the Holy Spirit to just move through us as we come into the close presence of the Lord. Ohhhhh, I get goosebumps just typing about it.
I have to be honest with you though, Neph. I do have a bit of a motive here.
My ministry is evangelizing Catholics. That is no secret, I have expressed it openly. Many of my Catholic brothers and sisters have never had a "heart conversion" or a deep, life changing experience with the Lord. Many more are not familiar with their Spiritual Gifts. We are very aware of this all through the Catholic Church. Most of the folks who hang out in these Forums and especially in OBOB, have a deep love for the Lord and have had a love relationship with Him.
We are searching out the ones who have not. Of course, there are many deeply committed Catholics who have no knowledge or understanding of the Charismatic Renewal. We want to teach and witness that. And, yes, I agree it may not be for everyone.
So, with you being a former Catholic, I am guessing you still have family in the Church. You know, the majority of Catholics never ever leave and find a home in another Church. Once a Catholic, always a Catholic, even when they quit going to Mass. Even when they have been wounded, neglected or just flat bored to death.
We want to find these folks and help them to have a new and exciting walk with the Holy Trinity.
Do you see what I mean? In our parish, we are finding them one soul at a time. That may be all we ever do, I am working for more. At 71 years old, I need to make every minute count.

LOL, maybe I need to start picking out some videos of Pentecostals in quiet reverence because I'm starting to think that you Charismatic Catholics think that all Pentecostal churches are chaotic with nobody in quiet reverence but it is very posible to find a Pentecostal church who practise both with a balance. I will agree that the RCC has the market cornered on this though ;)

I'm sitting here looking at several of these videos and what I'm most impressed with are the young people. If you observe them you can tell that they are not at these events to be entertained or to be the entertainment, they aren't there just to fill the boredom or what have you. These young people look like they are wanting to be there, wanting to worship God, longing to worship God. In a way this new younger generation is very impressive, they truely have a heart towards God and they are seeking him with their whole heart. The problem is, there is so few of them. Satistics show that church attendance across this country among the young has gone down drasticly once the person reaches college age, and they aren't coming back! This generation needs our help and they need our prayers more than ever!

Yes I agree that we as a church need to really make a stronger effort to bring up our children in the faith. I noticed that this was on your heart on an earlier post that I think you wrote in Spirit-filled.
I heartily believe that this will change the course of history if we can really help our youth to have a conversion to Jesus and begin to love and serve Him in the church and in the world.

Catholics really do love to be reverant, I have to agree: I am one of them!! hehe
Well honestly, it has alot to do with the Eucharist. Of course most people have heard that we believe that it is truly Jesus there in the form of bread and wine. And yes, that is true. It kind of transforms us and makes us into what we receive. whoa, I know that sounds very Christlike to say but we are also all a work in progress.
The reverant part of our faith really stems from being in the presence of God. In makes you want to keep silent, listen to Him, pray (talk) to Him, and even to sob at times.
I do agree that if I wasn't allowed to praise the Lord with my whole being (arms raised, singing, clapping, dancing) I would also feel limitied as well. But thanks be to God! We have been given many many great graces through the catholic charismatic renewal
I love that video btw peaceful dove.

I believe it will change too as long as we continue to pray and make the necessary changes. The stats say that if we keep at the present pace, in 30 to 40 years there will be no church. Is God going to allow that to happen, I believe not but you are right, I do have a heart for this generation and I believe we all have to do our part.

Millwalker brewers!!! LOL they were probably drunk! hmph.
We are drunk in the Spirit though!
They were all astounded and bewildered, and said to one another, "What does this mean?" But others said, scoffing, "They have had too much new wine."
Acts 2:12-13
Indeed!
Read that with this and it really makes so much sense:
On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." (And) Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.
Jn 2:1-11
LOL and the wine didn't come from a tap! It came from the power of the Holy Spirit, working through Jesus Christ our Lord, at the request of Mary.
The Lord is so good to us all! Praise the name of the Lord brothers and sisters!

It appears this storm will let me be on line for a few minutes.
We had a 6 week Life in the Spirit Seminar last summer.
The theme was Fresh Fire. And the song Fresh Fire was our theme song.
Here are the lyrics.
FRESH FIRE LYRICSCHORUS:
Fresh fire let it fall
O God hear our call
Send Your Spirit like a rushing wind
We need fresh fire
We are hungry we are thirsty
Crying our for more of You
Lord we are desperate for Your mercy
Let us burn to know Your Truth
Light a flame in us now
Send Your holy fire down
We have left our hearts unguarded
We confess we've walked away
Lord take us back to where we started
Where we first found love and grace
Light a flame in us now
Send Your holy fire down
More of Your love
More of Your power
Send a revival
We need it now
Stir up a fire
Let it burn brighter
Let the flame burn higher higher higher
Revive us again
These are a group of youth singing it.

Maybe someone find a video where the words are clearer.
If so, please post it.

Yeah, I was almost having to sit on mine during our regular Sunday Mass. One day my Pastor and Priest buddy told me that this was the first time he had seen the Holy Spirit stifled by someones bottom.
So now, here I am

Hi MoNiCA :)
You know which one I just love: Hillsong: "all things are possible" sung by Darlene. I once lost my voice because I sang it one whole day after hearing my pastor telling me about one of his friends that had made his little son come alive again after he had died..
Unfortunately I can't post the song here coz I dont have enough blessings for it.. but I'm sure you know it.
Earlier on in this thread you mentioned a "Steubenville Tread".. what did you mean by that.. is there something like that and where is it?

HisKid... You are something else:))))
Thank you brother and God bless you for that little drop of water for a thirsty servant..
aint it just good..
You know what I really love about it.. there is this one part at the end where the whole audience is jumping and there is this one man who is doing that and he looks just like my dad.. my dad would never do something like this though, unfortunately... hehe..

I wish you were close....We have a church in our area that has what they call "soak sessions" at various times where it's just all praise and worship..You could spend the whole evening there. People just lay on the floor, stand, sing take off thier shoes...Just bask in the Lord's presence..People come from the neighboring states to visit. I really believe as the Lord's return get s closer the darker it will get but that will be overcome by the tremendous praise and worship that is coming forth...

so do I.. I wish to be anywhere where The Holy Spirit is seriously invited and permitted to lead the meating
But tell me.. where precisely are you at? I have as of yet to see something like what you describe and what we see in the video (all things are possible) in a catholic setting and I long for it.

Yes children are so special. Especially all the angelic ones!
Oh you will like the steubenville thread Ina, not because you might get to or not get to go there so much as you will receive so much joy from these beautiful youth.
If you go to Jerusalem again, pray for me in the places where our Lord prayed. Please ask Him to bring peace to our poor world.
