You are human like all of us and God understands we will never be perfect. You are forgiven by God and that's important. Maybe going to a pastor or counselor about your problem may help you if it's embarrassing to talk about for all to see. I don't know if it is or not embarrassing to you. There is a pastor forum here too. I will keep you in my prayers.

Have you tried making prostrations -- touching your head to the floor?

The fact that you are wanting to draw closer to God tells me that the Holy Spirit is active in your life. The Bible says "No person comes to the Father but that the Spirit draws him." So just cooperate with what God is doing. I would give this situation over to the Lord because we cannot change at least permanently by ourselves. At least I've never been able to. But when I ask for His help over time I notice that this thing that was so frustrating is taken care of. We will pray that the Lord with give you the strength that you need.
