How do you all feel about putting together a couple of Prayer Teams?
Actually, I would love to talk to Fr. Rick and Catholic Flame first. We all have gone through the same training.
I am thinking about a Healing Team, an Inner Healing Team and maybe a Deliverance Team.
I do not want to blow anyone away with the term Deliverance. I do not mean we want "exhorcists".
I will, explain more about this later. It is fully acceptable ministry in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
At any rate, I would like to hear your input.

Terrific you guys!
I would then put you immediately to work.
I have surgery tomorrow morning at 6:30 am.
It is on my upper eyelids that are now messing up my vision. oh yeah, I will be prettier afterwards too, at least my doctor says so.
I will not be allowed to use the computer for at least 2 or 3 days. Then on Thursday, my husband, Al is having surgery on his carotid artery. He is 77 and a 5 way heart bi-pass diabetic. The first 24 hours after this surgery is critical. This is when a stroke can occur.
Please keep him in prayer.
I would ask you to ask the others here to all intercede for him too. I need fast healing and strength to care for him after his surgery.

Dear Peaceful,
I would love to be a your prayer warrior.
Are we here in the forum, to have a prayer thread to post prayer and keep a candle lite?
I keep my Book of Prayers here at home and I have entered your request there as we speak.

My vision for this is for someone to come here with a need and you pray right then and there for that need.
In our healing team at Church, we have 4 people on each team. One is a leader, two are prayer partners and third is an intercessor. The leader will ask what the need is, then will ask two other questions. 1. Do you mind if we lay hands on you and annoint you with blessed oil and 2. do you mind if we pray in our Prayer language. He/she will then ask the recipient not to pray but to simply receive. That person starts out leading prayer but constantly aware of both prayer partners, in the event they get a word from the Lord or is moved to a different prayer need. The leader should also at some point, ask the recipient if they feel any improvement, if it is an ailment, and then determine if they should continue praying.
The prayer partners may lay hands on the person too. We ask that they all keep their eyes open and aware of the recipient and the leader and the leader remain aware of everyone.
The intercessor does not lay hands on anyone but intercedes for the prayer team and the recipient, asking the Lord to reveal to the Leader and the Prayer partners anything that needs to be revealed. The intercessor may either pray in their own language or in tongues however the Spirit leads.
I think these teams can be adapted to the internet. I have touched the screen while praying over a person on the internet manytimes, laying hands on them spiritually.
I know this may sound a little different but we are expriencing miracles. We attended Frances MacNutt's School of Healing Prayer in Anaheim and were trained in this style.
In our Church, our goal is to have at least 4 teams, and hopefully an Inner Healing team and a Deliverance Team.
Please pray over this vision of mine and see how the Lord leads you. I think prayer ministry is a major part of what these forums should be all about.

Lord Jesus, Who went about doing good and healing many about you, we ask You to bless Your servants and our friends Peaceful Dove who is having surgery tomorrow morning for her vision, and also for her husband on Thursday, another surgery to his carotid artery.
Give them the strength in body, courage in spirit, and patience in pain. Give them your protection as they place themselves under the care of doctors and nurses with your angels gathered round and watching over them. Let them recover their health, so that restored to their Christian community, they may joyfully praise Your Name, for You to live and reign with them forever and ever. Amen.
I lite this candle to stand vigil over their care these next few critical days and weeks of recovery. A speedy recovery especially for Peaceful Dove so she will be able to care for her husband as well. As You continue to pour out your Mercy in their behalf, we praise you and give you thanks. We will wait in hopeful joy while your Mercy extends to them helping hands and hearts if they require additional assistance in their daily care. Amen

Remembering Intentions for Peaceful Dove.
We lift up our prayers to you Oh Jesus our Healer.
ARMOR OF GOD PRAYER
To cover Springrain in prayer, all those in this forum whom I pray for, those who request these prayers and those persons who join me in the intentions I lift up.
Oh God, who are our Mother and our Father,
embrace us as we rise from sleep and walk into this new day.
We ask for an awareness of Your arms around us
to deflect rejection and hurt coming from wounded others this day.
We drink deeply of the milk of Your nourishing acceptance and
unconditional love. We warm ourselves in the embrace of Your delighted eyes.
We invite Your wisdom to be near us,
whispering guidance in the choices that face us this day.
And we rejoice in the pride that You feel that we are Yours.
Let us live to Your Glory this day.
AMEN

Just to update you, my surgery is over. It went very well. I look very much like a racoon right now with all the black bruising but time heals that.
The hard part is sleeping sitting up and not being allowed to sit here and share with you all.
I am leaving my computer on so I can sneak a peek when I make the few walks I am allowed.
Blessings to you all.
Please continue to keep Al, my hubby in prayer. His surgery is Thursday.

I ask you Jesus to keep her close to you and to restore her to health now if you so will it Lord. I thank you Jesus my God because you are worthy to be thanked.
And we ask this our God, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Do you mind if I spiritually lay hands on Michelle and do you mind if I pray in my Prayer language? I promise that while I am praying in the Spirit, I will not be typing but lifting her up the the Lord, allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through me for ways I do not understand.
Is that alright with you?
I will also pray in my own language.

Heavenly Father, we come to you with our sister, Michelle. This is your child who you love so much that if she were the only person on earth, you would have still sacrificed your Son for her. He healed everyone who ever asked for healing, Father. He said that those who saw Him, saw you. You are our Great Physician. Father, we know that sickness has nothing whatsoever to do with you. We were not created to be sick but to be forever healthy. Jesus showed us one healing miracle after another.
That is enough for me to believe that it is your will that we be whole.
Father, we do not know the root cause or the source of the ailments that are plaguing Michelle. We do know that they do not belong to her. She was not born with them, we were not created for them and you are not the source of them. So Father, if they are not of you, we reject them in Jesus most Holy name.
We put you in complete control of Michelles body, mind and Spirit and ask you to take this desease from her. Bring her into the good health that you intended for her.
Peaceful Dove<---praying in the Spirit.
Thank you Father. Glory and praise to you.
JAS4YESUA, I think I have words for Michelle.
Would you tell her that Our Father, Abbah askes that when she prays, she should (Spiritually) climb up into His lap and call Him Daddy. She needs to hug him really really tight and tell Him how much she loves Him. Then she should let Him hug her back and let Him tell her how much He loves her. She should spend time there in her Daddy's embrace, soaking in His love. This is what we call a "soakng prayer" and there is so much healing here.
Would you share this with her, please?
JAS4Yeshua

Good.
Tell her to just soak in God's love for her. That is all He wants her to do.
We will continue to pray for her.
Intercessors, out there, please stay in prayer for both Michelle and the Prayer Team.

Just an update.
I had a bit of a reaction, maybe the meds, I don't know. I started itching like crazy, before noon yesterday. My eyelids mostly.
My husband made a decision to postpone his surgery.
I honestly expected to have my surgery, have one or two days of discomfort and then be able to be with Al at the hospital on Thursday and then take care of him when he came home Friday. I never thought I might have any sort of problem, I never have before.
Well, anyway, Al put his carotid surgery off. I think he plans to wait until after the Holidays. Please pray protection around him. This worries me and I know I should just put it in the Lord's hands. I am pretty good about doing that for myself but having a heck of a time doing it for him.
So, I put it to you to pray for him, if you would be so kind.
JAS4Yeshua
6th December 2007, 08:45 PM
Lord, I'd like to lift up Peaceful Dove to you know. This raction in her eyelids is causing herr discomfort. I pray that you take away this discomfort and help her heal quickly. I'd like to also lift up Al, and his pending surgery. I pray that you are preparing both their hearts even now, and that you will work your mighty hand in their situation. Touch their hearts and their lives, and let this be a season of joy, celebrating the birth of your Son. I ask for healing for both of them, that you would be glorified through the healing.
In the name of Jesus we pray.
Amen.

There is some really good stuff in here about praying for one another.
I am still hoping we can form 2 or 3 teams who can keep in touch with one another maybe by PM's and pray as a team.
