Oh, Sam, some of us (OK,me) just like to give quick replies, and not too much information. It is still a public message board!
But I'll play a little. I was raised in the church and can't imagine being anywhere else. Also I live in the southeast US.

I'm 6'2", in decent shape, and have no financial capabilities. I could probably get away with posting my social security number and home address. I can understand why others might not post much in the way of personal info.
Where do you live?
Columbia, South Carolina, America. South Carolina is about as far the equator as Tunisia, and most of the state is right between the mountains and the humid coast, meaning it gets too darn hot here. Columbia is the capital of South Carolina and the most metropolitan area I've seen in this state besides Charleston. However, I can still travel in 15 miles in either direction, ending up in complete wilderness in one direction and in the city in the other direction.
How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it?
I was brought up in a religious household, but I was in the Methodist church until the 2nd grade. My father was raised Wesleyan and my mom is the daugher of a Baptist minister.
Describe you church...
My current church is a nice representation of a Cooperative Baptist Church, small and friendly with mostly moderate members and equal amounts conservative and liberal ones. Most of the music is the typical fare from the late 18th and 19th centuries (though the minister of music used to occasionally throw in some stuff in Latin, Greek, and Swahili at our last church). At the beginning of the month we had a service with bluegrass music. It's a bit high church (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_church), the ministers wear robes during the services and we have robed acolytes come out and light the candles on the alter at the beginning of the service. There's a traditional pulpit used sometimes, though the one carved in the 60's is being used more often.
The church's website can be found here. (http://www.kathwoodbaptist.org/) The bluegrass service is in the 11107.mp3 file in the "worship - audio files" section of the website. A warning for dial up users, the file is 17.4 megabytes.
Have you been baptised, yet, or is it coming soon?
I was baptised at my last church about a decade ago.
When is your birthday?
February 25, 1987
What does faith mean to you?
It's something to hold onto besides the lonely thought that the only thing I'm really aware of is my own existence.
... add more infor you think we should know.
I was once talking with a friend about Frank Herburt's sci-fi book series "Dune" and describing the world it was set in. Talking about the religion in the series one of the groups mentioned very briefly in an obscure reference came up, the Zen Baptists. Even today my friend still calls me that.

A small list of questions to get to know each other.
Where do you live?
NW Ohio (~1/2 mile from Michigan)
How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it?
Grew up PCUSA - practically lived at my church as a teen (most of my best friends were from my church). Had a slight falling away in my early 20's, returned after the birth of my son - knew that I couldn't raise him without God's guidance
Describe you church...
We're ~8 years old, approximately 30 members - ~50 regular attendees. We're very close - in many respects those I worship with are my true family.
Our worship consists of teaching, prayer, the singing of hymns, psalms and Spiritual songs, and the Lord's Table (on a weekly basis).

Where do you live?
Canada
How long have you been religious / were you brought up with it?
Religious all my life, but not really brought up with it. To explain:
My grandparents got me started going to church very young.
My mother did not go to church.
My grandfather used religion as a front for sinful activities.
Describe you church...
My church is in transition. The exterior is a main street office building and the interior is being redone. Local bureaucracy is stretching this process out further than it needs to.
The spritual description of my church is much like a family gathering for Christmas could be described. Many different levels and needs that come together to create a family.
Have you been baptised, yet, or is it coming soon?
October 18, 1998
When is your birthday? :P
Just had that thanks and I can wait another year for the next one.
What does faith mean to you?
Faith is believing with my heart and soul where I came from, who I am and where I am going, despite the fact that I don't deserve any of it.

A small list of questions to get to know each other.
Where do you live?
Southern California - near the beach.
How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it?
I grew up in a Lutheran family. God has always been real to me. I was 17 years old when I asked Jesus to take charge of my life.
Describe you church...
It was one of the first churches established in our city. It has a reputation of being evangelical, and very missions minded. There are about 600 members. We have 3 worship services every Sunday: The first uses contempory music, the second one is a mix of hymns and older worship choruses (from the 70's and 80's). The third is in the evening and is very informal.
We have several Bible study and outreach opportunities throughout the week.

How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it?
I grew up Catholic for 17 years, then found out who the true Jesus was, and got saved when I was 19.
Describe you church...
My church is a small church in the backwoods. around 50-60 members, but bible preaching is truth and only the truth

Where do you live?
Chittenango, NY the birthplace of L Frank Baum the writer of The Wizard of Oz series. He lived here for probably three minutes before he moved to the next town over, but every year we have a parade and the remaining munchkins come out and parade down our main street, and yes the downtown side walks are yellow bricks. I hate the whole thing, but what are ya gonna do?
How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it?
I am not religious really, but i have been a Christian for going on four years. I was brought up in a pentecostal house where we would quite frequently listen to Jimmy Swaggart and the like. The church i grew up in was one of the first mega churches i ever saw. It started with 75 and boomed to 2500 in a couple of years. Quite amazing really.
Describe you church...
Small, but growing. Most of the members are older than me and i am forty. We do have a young mix coming in, but not too many. This area has a lot of churches and the younger crowds tend to go for the more contemporary services. We generally have a set order of worship, and this I think also turns some people off.
Have you been baptised, yet, or is it coming soon?
Yes Thanksgiving 2003
When is your birthday?
November 9
What does faith mean to you?
It means holding strong when you do not feel like you can hold on any longer.
... add more information you think we should know.

Where do you live? Indiana USA
How long have you been religious / where you brought up with it? I was brought up in Christian faith. Converted to Mormon. I then went to a oneness apostolic church...then I dabbled in wicca...I was saved recently in October this year. I now go to a baptist church that I love very much.
Describe you church...My church is a very large church in a nearby city. Its a Baptist (GARB)... we are growing and currently have a 3rd service at a different location until we can find land and build a new building. It's very exciting!
Have you been baptised, yet, or is it coming soon? My husband and I have chosen to wait until it gets warm next spring/summer to get baptized in the creek near my church. My church does baptisms several times a year, and offers one creek baptism every year where there are normally several people that choose this option. So we are holding off on that.
When is your birthday? :P In August. Don't forget either! lol just joking.
What does faith mean to you? To me, faith is believing in Jesus Christ with all my heart that he died for our sins. So that sin is no longer divides us from God. No matter what the world says otherwise. My faith in this will stand strong.:pink:
