I've been a little harsh with some of you. I shouldn't have been. I mean, you all are caught in something of a maelstrom right now, tossed about in uncertain--even uncharted--waters. "Here there be monsters".

I mean pretty much everything I say, though. Sometimes, I don't say it in the best way. Sometimes, I just want to win. For those times, I apologize.

Now here's the rub: I think that you guys are having your good natures taken advantage of so that somebody else can make money. Your love of this place--the love of your memories of this place, anyway--is being exploited.

You've noticed the new ads? The lack of LeeD? The top-down structure, which (according to MNphysicist (http://foru.ms/showpost.php?p=40886298&postcount=21)) gives non-senior Staff almost no autonomy? Sure you have.

I feel for you. You want to help people, to make things run smoothly, to give back to a place that has given you so much. I know that. I appreciate that you do care. I'm sorry that this place isn't that place, anymore.

And I'm sorry for having given you grief when somebody else was pulling your strings. You don't deserve to be treated like that.

As much as one can surmise from observation as a regular member - which is not much, given the absurd levels of secrecy and the piling on of levels of 'staff' (if you aren't being paid, 'staff' is a bit of a misnomer, IMO), LT is correct in his evaluation of the situation.

Not that it matters in the long run - there seems to be a pattern in online forums, in that the more large and successful they are, the more likely they are to fall prey to any number of destructive events.

I hope at least a few staff members are able to understand what Lindon Tinuviel, Glass Soul, myself and a few others are trying to say (and trying to say it under rules that make it difficult to spell anything out clearly without the expectation of being booted off the boards).

I hope at least some staff are able to recognise where the present direction leads - the future may be fluffy, peaceful, populous and colourful, but likely not very interesting.
