I'm interested in knowing how you became a Christian in terms of the medium used to convey the good news of Jesus Christ.

Thanks for your time in the poll.

(This is for curiosity's sake only.)

I was about 6 or 7 so I mostly heard the word being spoken.

After thinking some more about it I think what really brought me to Christ (and kept me a Christian even during adolescent rebellion) was not necessarily hearing the word spoken or reading the word but seeing my parents and others preaching it wiht their lives. They said it and then did it.

So many things were involved in my conversion. But, when I decided I needed to be saved, (not just the Bible that got me to that point) I was led through the Romans road, and prayed a sinners prayer.

God can even use worldly things to help convict us, and scare us enough to even begin looking for the truth. The movie: The Exorcist scared the daylights out of me btw.

I had a friend bring me to church where I was exposed to Christian thought and life. The primary motive for conversion was reading about the life of Jesus in the gospels. When I read them it became immediately obvious that this was the truth.

In some senses it was a mix of both though primarily through reading about the actions and words of Jesus in the scriptures.

A combination of the two, but probably mostly hearing. I couldn't read for the first 6 years of my life, but the gospel was preached and taught to me in those years. I can't say there was a defining moment when I clearly was not a christian and then clearly was. We are justified by our faith, not by a prayer, and I have had faith in Christ for as long as I can remember.

I believe that baptism is regenerative, so I believe I became a Christian at the moment of my baptism (when I was 2 months old). However, I didn't have much understanding of my faith as a child, it wasn't until I got into high school and college that I became truly committed to Christ and His Church.

Mostly by listening to a local Christian radio station while delivering pizzas, one day I decided that I needed to go to a church and make my decision public, I've been going to that same church for about 1 year now.

Well, I was born into a Covenant Family. I was told I am one of God's people my entire life. I don't remember ever not being saved, but made my public profession at age 11..
