I was wondering what your favorite type of Christian music is that you like to listen to. Does anyone know of a website that has a list of streaming podcasts you can choose from with different styles of music?

klove.com is a great Christian radio station I listen to via the web. It has mostly contemporary music, which is what I enjoy listening to most outside of worship in church, where I like a mixture.

Hey. I love southern gospel myself. Try going to live365.com. I hope you like this.

I listen mostly to the older hymns (though I listen to contemporary Christian music from time to time). I can't think of any Internet radio stations that play them, if anyone knows of any, let me know!

I LOVE KLOVE its my favorite station, I think you can listen to it on their website. I also love listening to Spirit 66 on Serius satallite radio (xm whatever its called, we get it on our television). My friend, Acy, knows of a website that has streaming Christian toons I think. I'll ask her what it is next time I see her online, or you can find her on my friends list and ask her yourself.

I rarely listen to Christian music - far too much of it (especially the more contemporary stuff) is just poor as far as content is concerned. Way too much "Jesus is my boyfriend" and/or 7/11 stuff for my taste.

I will occasionally listen to KLove on Sunday mornings while I'm driving to church, but that's about it. Oh, and I do like Third Day - I think they do an excellent job, both lyrics and music.

For content - I don't think you can beat some of the older hymns and psalms.

As with everything else - we just need to be discerning about what we listen to, same as what we read.

I prefer "classic rock" - bands like Resurrection Band, Ashley Cleveland, Tourniquet, Phil Keaggy, Paul Clark, Barren Cross, etc.

I've found a few live365 stations that play what I like:

Some of those go way back. I still have a lot of Degarmo & Keys stuff as well as Petra's earlier years. They really mellowed out in the later years.

I like MercyMe (which I met one time) and Third Day (Thief is my favorite by them).

I also listen to NewSong some, though I like the original group a little better.

Faith radio - WFRF (http://www.faithradio.us/index.htm) is a great radio station to listen to for music and preaching. I personally know the family that owns and runs it. :)
