My wife is due in April and we just found out that we are having a boy!

The name which we are pretty sure about is Matías Jacob. Jacob after St Jacob of Alaska and this will also be his Liturgical name. matías... just becuase we think it's awesome (after Matthias... but that's not going to be his saint).

just thought I would let you know :)

Congratulations

With all these young ones growing up, soon we will have to have a TAW youth forum
and a few parents to help mod them.

I agree.

Pascha is in May this coming year, isn't it?

Yes, so my birthday's during lent. Yay, not! On the upside, so is Jeremy and Troy's, so we can all celebrate when lent's over together.

Congratulations! Of course I would have thought that Baby Ock would make a nice name, but that's why I'm not allowed to have or name kids. I like St. Jacob a lot though, so I think that's a good choice for a patron.

If you can find evidence that St Jacob also went by "Ock" in his earthly life, I will thoughtfully consider that request lol

No, it's april 27th which my wife is really bummed about because, unless she is really early, her 40 days won't be up so she won't be able to go to Pascha. She respects it, but she is really bummed about it.

But, at the same time I think she will find a blessing in being able to rest at home that night with Matías so it will be good that the Church will be forcing her to do what will be good for her body and our baby.

Congratulations on the bambino. Is there any way I can petition you to name him Oliver? My dogs name is Oliver and there is an Orthodox St. Oliver D'Ancone who was a Benedictine Monk in Italy and who was glorified a saint shortly before the schism. Needless to say, I will be writing St. Olivers icon very soon. :D
