I have always had good male friends. In fact a couple of my best friends are men.
I lived most of my life in an all male household and simply understand and get along (and for the most part, like) men better than women. Teen aged girls make me a nervous wreck with their emotions and all. I have two grandaughters one 13 and other 16. Also have a 12 nd nearly 18 yr old grandson.

people can have good friends of both genders and should. we need good men and women friends to have balance in our lives. why should the standards be different for men than from women?
as long as the friendships are Godly, then we can and should have men and women friends.

Should a Christian woman have male friends?
more to the point should a chrsitian man have female friends, or male friends, or any god forbid unsaved friends.

I've always had good male friends - and I've had young male friends that just come around to talk - I kinda speak their language - being a custom home builder - Most all my everyday dealings were with males.
One or two relationships probably caused a lot of talk - but it was God sent - A young gay guy would come to visit and talk - we talked about God - he was Jewish and I tried to get him to go back to church - told him I would go with him if he would go back - so I went to the Jewish church with him for awhile - very glad to have had the opportunity - he died very quickly - but he made peace and loved Jesus.
I know we are not suppose to do things that people would talk about - but if God sends someone your way - it does not matter if they are male or female - we obey God's calling no matter what.

Sure, a Christian woman should have male friends. But, perhaps, a woman should not have male friends who cannot keep their mind out of the gutter or who look on them as potential sexual liaisons. And visa versa.

I have always had a lot of male friends.
One of my best male friends after a few years of friendship we did begin to have feelings for each other, but God stirred us in different directions..very painful season....But, came back together after about a year and our love was stronger than ever and still is..I can't imagine my life thus far without him. What a blessing he has been all these years. He saw me at my worst and my best and still loved me and never judged me...A wonderful man of God..
A lot of people talked and talked at one point because he is another race. I think God allowed some of this to show some people their own hearts...
