Maybe this forum is the one where we'll treat each other like we would in rl. I mean, when we disagree, we won't flame, we'll be interested and curious about the other point of view. We'll ask questions, clarify, and then answer questions too if there are any. THe goal is not to all thing alike, according to some "SofF", but to get to know each other, where we're similar, where we disagree.
I would never go out with a Baptist and Catholic friend and spend the evening berating them about communion and baptism!!! But it would be a potentially awesome conversation to talk about those things in a friendly manner.
ANd we'll become friends. We won't agree on a lot of different things, but we'll understand the others' viewpoints just a little better. Our lives will be enriched by our association with each other.
I'm excited about this fourm.

I think we can disagree, but not be mean to each other. If not being nasty is a pat on the back fest, then yes, I hope it will be.
:(
Perhaps I should simply close this thread.

I think the comment was a warning, rather than an accusation..at least that's how I read it.

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the happy home. With trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!

Interesting way you worked in a reference to CC without actually mentioning it Higgs well done.
As for what Cola said you know him well enough to know it wasn't an accusation.

SofF is how CC (which others here on other threads and on IIDB have alluded to) refers to their statement of faith and as far as I know they are the only one who use this. If I am wrong please correct me and I will happily retract,.

Many churches have a statement of faith. My old one did.

But the context of its use does seem to indicate she is referring to CC. As I said before she simply needs to confirm that she was not referring to CC and I will edit.

I think some folks would be truly mortified if people saw them act in person the way they do behind the PC keyboard.

I don't know and I don't particularly care. This thread is not about other forums but our vision for this one.

I don't know where I got the abbreviation, but I was thinking about one of the early threads, maybe even when we were requesting this forum, when have a "statement of faith" was suggested in some posts. I don't remember who suggested it or how much discussion there was. It is very possible that I read the SofF abbreviation first on the cc board here, but I wasn't referring to that forum when I wrote the OP. I thought other forums on 4U had statements of faith, not just cCC.
