An early Christmas Prayer

I know it's early for a Christmas Prayer; I am hoping by posting this early it will build momentum and give lucifer one in the eye this Christmas.

It's the time of year when all faiths celebrate family, community, charity love and forgiveness all over the world.

I got to thinking we live in a cynical world dominated by War, Disease, Poverty, Perversity, Starvation and natural disasters. Yet at the same time every where I look I see hope, love, Faith. We may live in dark times but the light is clear and Gods love and blessings are all around us.

You only have to read this message board to see the love that is all around us.

So I ask you to pray for Every living soul this Christmas that they may enveloped in Gods Love and Grace this Christmas. Let us forgive all those that would make our blood boil and find Gods Love.

Let us pray for Peace for everyone
Let us pray for the good health of all
Let us pray that the wicked will open their hearts and find the Lord.

LET US MAKE EVIL HISTORY THIS CHRISTMAS

Lord Jesus, as thousands start preparing for Christmas may the truth of the celebration be revealed to all. May all know that we celebrate your birth, in doing so, we celebrate our birth in you.

Thank you for joining me in this prayer.

I feel it is Gods will that we pray for our enemies as fervently as for our loved ones.

I pray that through this compassion and forgiveness that we may one day heal this world and deserve Gods grace. :amen:

Father in Heaven, this Christmas please let hearts all around the world be opened through the hearing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May they know once and for all that salvation only comes through faith in Jesus. Please let everyone here at foru.ms have a good Christmas and keep the true meaning of Christmas at the forefront and gifts, etc. in the background. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

A thought just occurred to me: If you celebrate another religion's holiday, does that mean that you're in effect worshipping their gods? No accusation here, just an honest question (without a preconceived answer).

In answer to your question NO I am not worshipping their Gods I am marking the occassion out of respect for those in my community who hold a different faith.

How can we hope to show the beauty of Christ and the Lord or spread the word without understanding those we are reaching out to.
