Tomorrow my dad is having a big operation to put a unit in his broken back that will help reduce a lot of the pain he's been dealing with for so many years. This whole ordeal though has been very stressful, and it's hard not to be worried for him. Please, pray hard that this operation will go as well as possible and that my dad will be alright. Please pray for his safety, that God will keep His hand on him. Tomorrow's going to be a very big day. Thanks, and God bless. ^^

Lord Jesus, any operation is a worrying time. Please Lord Saviour, keep your healing and guiding hands over the medical team that perform the surgery. Please Lord, stand closely by jeiko's dad and by the power of your presence Lord, he will by your mercy come through this operation successfully and full heal. May he not have pain hereafter Lord. We give thanks for hearing our prayers at this time.

Father in Heaven, please let his recovery go more quickly than anyone had expected. Please help him to be pain-free after this surgery. Please bring him closer to You as a result of this and have a new fire to share Jesus with everyone he encounters. Deliver him from all evil. Give him peace, hope, joy and more faith. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

New prayer request for my dad:
Ever since the operation my dad has had hiccups non-stop, and today he was throwing up old blood, and told my mom that he felt like he was going to die (and for my dad, when he says something like this, he means it. He's certainly not melodramatic, and actually has a very high threshold for pain). My mom was going to drive him to a specific hospital, but when my dad couldn't even stand up my mom called 911 for an ambulance. Turns out he has pneumonia (and this is now about the 7th time in his life that he's had it ><), and needs to be treated with anibiotics. Thankfully, he's doing a lot better now, though he's absolutely exhausted from getting almost no sleep at all for the last several nights (he couldn't even sleep in his own bed the last few nights because of acid reflux). Normally he'd be able to come home, but the doctor still doesn't know why he was throwing up old blood, so they're keeping him overnight. I know God's protecting him and will see him through this, but he still could really use as many prayers as possible so God will keep protecting him and quickly help him through this ordeal and heal him. It's going to be tough to sleep tonight knowing he's not home. Please also pray he'll be able to come home tomorrow. I think I'm going to skip classes tomorrow so I can go see him.

Update: he's doing a great deal better. He got to come home today (yay! ^^). His hiccups have stopped, and he was able to eat today and keep it down. Aside of being very tired out from everything, he's doing very well (he's sleeping in his bed even as I type this). Thanks for your prayers everyone, it means a lot! ^^

That is such wonderful news!!! Praise the LORD!!!! :amen:
I will continue to pray for your father's healing, and for strength and comfort from our Lord for your father and all of you as well. I know it is never easy on the family either when a loved one is not doing well... May the Lord comfort all of you, and give you strength, peace, and healing!

I'm glad to hear that he is doing a bit better. I'm still praying for him, and also thanking the Lord for protecting him. Isn't it wonderful to know that we are not alone in our suffering, but the Lord is with us, and sends the Holy Spirit and His angels to bring us comfort? Praise God the Father and Jesus the Son for all the wonderful things they have done. :amen:
