Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever and ever.

In The Name Of The Father, The Son And The Holy Spirit
In The Beloved Name Of Jesus Christ I Pray That Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen

And Father, daily, having done all to stand, help us to stand
Matthew 4

The Temptation of Jesus

1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."

4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'[a (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204;&version=31;#fen-NIV-23214a)]"
5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6"If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:
" 'He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'[b (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204;&version=31;#fen-NIV-23216b)]"
7Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'[c (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204;&version=31;#fen-NIV-23217c)]"
8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
10Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'[d (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204;&version=31;#fen-NIV-23220d)]" 11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

For the director of music. For flutes. A psalm of David.
PSALM 5

Give ear to my words, O LORD,
consider my sighing.
Listen to my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.
You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;
with you the wicked cannot dwell.
The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
you hate all who do wrong.
You destroy those who tell lies;
bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the LORD abhors.
But I, by your great mercy,
will come into your house;
in reverence will I bow down
toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness
because of my enemies--
make straight your way before me.
Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with destruction.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongue they speak deceit.
Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.
But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Amen brother, Jesus stood against the wiles of the devil
Jesus simply ignored it and let it torment itself. If we argue with it we can sometimes give it what it wants. He did not argue with it as he refused to be tangled in with it. He simply told it to be gone and stood by Gods word . The devil in frustration bid its own farewell.

God bless brother and keep praying...

Lord, we beg Your light to come into our lives,

Lord, we want to walk in the paths of truth and peace,

Dear Lord, we want Your Word to guide us, turning away from all other false teachers and councilors.

Let us not be led into any temptation.

Let Your Children free themselves from oppression and deceit.

Give us hope, give us strength to love our own Brothers and Sisters of like mind.

Psalm 7 (from my readings for group study this week).

Psa 7:1 O Yahweh my Elohim, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all my pursuers; And deliver me,
Psa 7:2 Lest they tear at my throat like a lion, Rending in pieces, with no one to deliver.
Psa 7:3 O Yahweh my Elohim, if I have done this: If there is unrighteousness in my hands,
Psa 7:4 If I have done evil to him who was at peace with me, Or have plundered my enemy without cause,
Psa 7:5 Let the enemy pursue me and overtake my being, And trample my life to the ground, And lay my esteem in the dust. Selah.
Psa 7:6 Arise, O Yahweh, in Your displeasure; Lift Yourself up against the rage of my adversaries, And awake for me! You shall command judgment!
Psa 7:7 And let the congregation of the peoples gather about You; And over them return on high.
Psa 7:8 Yahweh judges the peoples; Judge me, O Yahweh, according to my righteousness, And according to my integrity within me.
Psa 7:9 Please let the evil of the wrong be ended, And establish the righteous; For the righteous Elohim is a trier of hearts and kidneys.
Psa 7:10 My shield is upon Elohim, Who saves the upright in heart.
Psa 7:11 Elohim is a righteous judge. And Ěl is enraged every day,
Psa 7:12 If one does not repent! He sharpens His sword, He bends His bow and makes it ready,
Psa 7:13 And He has prepared for Himself instruments of death, He makes His arrows hot for pursuers.
Psa 7:14 See, he who is bound with wickedness, And has conceived trouble and brought forth falsehood,
Psa 7:15 He has made a pit and dug it out, And falls into the ditch he made!
Psa 7:16 His trouble turns back upon his own head, And his wrongdoing comes down on the top of his head.
Psa 7:17 I give thanks to Yahweh according to His righteousness, And praise the Name of Yahweh Most High.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
PS 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
PS 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
PS 23:3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
PS 23:4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
PS 23:5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
PS 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred let us sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is discord, union;
Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that we may not so much seek To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

I agree that Francis was awesome. Alas, he didn't write that prayer, although it is often attributed to him.

Those who are know this and are careful, usually call it the "Prayer of St. Francis" but do not state anything about its authorship (which is unknown). Others mention that it was found in a church and was first printed publicly early in the 20th century.
