A second BE subforum

Other threads in the BE main forum keep getting lost due to game threads.

I have a Praise and Thanksgiving writing contest (http://foru.ms/t6319235-praise-and-thanksgiving-writing-contest.html) that really needs to be seen to get contestants.

For the record these are different than those in the Recreation forum because you get blessings for playing them.

Hi Cat! I'm going to make a thread "advertising" this one in the BE Sub-forum... Like we did to get the Dress-Up Forum created... I will link it to this thread, and Athene (one of the BE Mods has agreed to help me sticky it). :)

So, they are different. The number and word games do make it difficult to find other posts. I don't see a problem with creating a subforum for them since we also created one for dress-up games. :)

I agree - I also think that these types of threads need to clearly state when the blessings will no longer be given -(end of first thread, 2 threads.....whatever) there are a lot of inactive blessing abc, 123, etc, games in BE. It's confusing especially to new people.

I guess I would rather see the threads in BE that aren't giving blessings be moved to a more appropriate folder... that would free up a lot of space. For example, there are several counting and names threads there that never gives out blessings. There are several reputation threads that don't give out blessings. Then there are members who post multiple threads for 1 game, and only the game thread gives blessings. If you moved all of those threads out of BE where they shouldn't be (see http://foru.ms/t4761134-what-kind-of-threads-should-be-in-blessings-exchange.html) and follow up with that would remove a lot of the threads so general games would be easier to see.

I think if another subforum is created, then it is going to reduce how many plan in general... it's just one more folder in an extremely large forum that ends up with multiple folders with few participants.

Sorry... but I think it would hurt BE more than help it, and I love BE.

once upon a time..before wiki..there was a rule in the BE that ONLY games that gave blessings were allowed..now that lee is making sitewide rules again and getting rid of wiki..maybe that will change back..i AGREE..only games for BLESSINGS belong in the BE! others should be moved to the rec room...

Is it more of something that needs to be handled by mods then? After you can no longer win blessings for a game, if people keep counting or whatnot, then should a mod be contacted to move that thread to another forum at that point?

Gazelle, the threads that are in the BE right now -- counting threads etc.. DID hand out blessings but ended at the second (sometimes third) threads... Basically if the rules aren't posted anymore in the OP then I would consider it a "dead thread" at that point and ask for it to be moved...

Tange..good point..if there are threads in the BE right now that arent giving blessings they need to be closed by mods or moved to rec room...i dont know which ones they are

I went through the 1st two pages in BE... and here is a list of threads without any associated blessings... or unknown associated blessings. I got tired after this. ;)

So obviously, there needs to be some housekeeping... or... maybe a re-arranging of folders... like making the Friendship Court the primary socializing forum, then making blessings exchange, character dress up and the subfolders in the recreation room all one folder. That would do 2 things. It gives us a place for everything, and we get to know members that wouldn't normally play in BE. I think it would help... and since there is a petition for a reputation folder, the reputation folder could be added with the subforums in the recreation room.

Seems to me it would make it easier to find everything since it would all be in one place. :)

Anyways, just my thoughts.

Threads that don't involve blessings with either be closed or moved.
I spoke with the Admins of this forum a while ago. Game threads that don't involve blessings shouldn't be in BE. If you notice those just pm the mods with a link to the thread.

There is a separate area for Reps and another for character games. If we further divide the main forum it could get rather confusing.

At this time I don't think another sub-forum will be created in BE.
