I do have a testimony of an experience I had that is also described in 2Co 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. It was the only time I was separated from my body, I think. It was strange, because I believed at the time of the experience that an angel was carrying me by the scruff of the neck, which meant to me at the time, I was bodily taken up. Yet when I returned I was where I was when I left, leaving me to wonder if I imagined it all. So I can relate to the confusion Paul had about the experience. It could be that it was like Phillip ..Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

It was a time of intense study to learn how to get into God's presence. Not just having Him come visit but being able to go to His pleace and see Him. John got to go...

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Enoch walked with God and was not because God took him.

Paul couldn't figure out which heaven, but who is to say that we can't go now. Who says that it is not possible... after all God says that all things are possible... ask and you shall receive. So with that in mind, I began my intense study and prayer into being chosen to go. For six months I prayed and studied to learn all that scripture had on the subject and anything connected to it. Then one day an angel came and said "Come" and with that I was taken. I got as far as somewhere up in the solar system and the earth was rapidly diminishing, when it occurred to me, my children, who will be looking after my children.... Duh... but at the moment that thought entered my mind, I was back.

Sorry, I just can't live in that world.

We interpret everything we experience. These types of experiences say more about us than about reality.

You would do well on the Spirit-filled forum, we love this kind of thing, its right up our street!!!!!

Seriously, I think that experiences like this are brilliant, its like the cherry on the cake, but NOT the cake if you see what I mean.
