We who love each other as Christians
will not be driven out.
Even those of us who must resign as
protest, knowing all the while those of
us who love them, will return to be with us.
We claim the right to post without threats
from any quarter and we shall not be
driven out of any website where there
are still Christians who love Christians.

Auntie,
I mourn for your loss of hope here.
But Christ is here, within me.
If I were the only person left in the world, Christ would still be here.
This I will always believe.

Thank you Latreia. :hug: :wave:
The CC Forum has been under attack by the devil for a few weeks now.:(
This is the only sub-forum at Foru.ms that resembled the old ChristianForums we all used to love. And that is why it is under attack, and will continue to be under attack.
:(
This post is an example why I gave up Foru.ms. Its not Foru.ms fault but rather people who can't control themselves.
As to the topic of this thread, I don't think I will be staying much longer.
Latreia

Jim the topic of the thread is staying for love of Christians.
This thread is not about leaving and why.
This thread is about hope.
If it gets shut down, it will not be the fault of staff, it will be on those who post without caring about another Christian's hope.

On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
http://www.simplyangel.com/angelfiles/Graphics/hillfarawaystars.jpe
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown.
http://www.simplyangel.com/angelfiles/Graphics/hillfarawaystars.jpe
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.
http://www.simplyangel.com/angelfiles/Graphics/hillfarawaystars.jpe
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown.

Built on the Rock the church doth stand,
Even when steeples are falling;
Crumbled have spires in every land,
Bells still are chiming and calling;
Calling the young and old to rest,
But above all the soul distressed,
Longing for rest everlasting.
Surely in temples made with hands,
God, the Most High, is not dwelling;
High above earth His temple stands,
All earthly temples excelling;
Yet He whom heavens cannot contain
Chose to abide on earth with men,
Built in our bodies His temple.
We are God’s house of living stones,
Builded for His habitation;
He through baptismal grace us owns,
Heirs of His wondrous salvation;
Were we but two His Name to tell,
Yet He would deign with us to dwell,
With all His grace and His favor.
Now we may gather with our King;
Even in the lowliest dwelling:
Praises to Him we there may bring,
His wondrous mercy foretelling;
Jesus His grace to us accords,
Spirit and life are all His words,
His truth doth hallow the temple.
Still we our earthly temples rear,
That we may herald His praises;
They are the homes where He draws near
And little children embraces,
Beautiful things in them are said,
God there with us His covenant made,
Making us heirs of His Kingdom.
Here stands the font before our eyes
Telling how God did receive us;
The altar recalls Christ’s sacrifice
And what His table doth give us;
Here sounds the Word that doth proclaim
Christ yesterday, today, the same,
Yea, and for aye our Redeemer.
Grant then, O God, wherever men roam,
That, when the church bells are ringing,
Many in saving faith may come
Where Christ His message is bringing:
“I know Mine own, Mine own know Me;
Ye, not the world, My face shall see.
My peace I leave with you.”

We sang that hymn the day after 9/11 in the children's chapel service, and as haunting as the melody is, the lyrics are comforting. Whenever I begin to doubt, I sing this hymn.

Hard to say though at this point if there will be enough people interested in the same conservative issues that I enjoy discussing.

Holy Father I am here again to pray for your will to be done. I pray for all that is good and kind to succeed. I also pray for your justice for all that is contrary to your will. I promise to follow your guide to the best of my human ability and to shun all that is not from you. Thank you Father for another day where I may shine for you among my friends and family. Thank you Father for your protections from all that is evil. I love you Father and I promise to never forget the passion of Christ.

In case anyone noted, my name got taken off the Membership List.
This was an accident, neither my intention nor staff error. It was a case of two ships that passed in the night with no lights on.
As I put it, I want Conservation Christian membership for Life.
Literally.

I love the Old Rugged Cross hymnal. That was one of my all time heart felt favorite songs from my childhood and teen years. Thank you Latreia for posting the words... What a wonderful reminder as to what it's about... Jesus... the Cross... Salvation... but underneath the obvious... about healing and love and hope and faith...
I love the following song... it touches my heart like no other.
Amazing Grace Lyrics
"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif
T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.
http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif http://www.littleleaf.com/bttnradiate.gif
Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

I am a Christian. I love the Lord and it is my desire to serve Him.
My values are Christian and conservative - something I find impossible to separate either philosophically or theologically;
As such, these values are what motivate me.
I will not be moved from these values - for that would mean being forced to value something different.
I will not be made to feel ashamed of these values.
Rather than protest, I will pray.
Rather than complain, I will serve.
Rather than be angered, I will love.
Rather than be offended, I will look to the cross.
Rather than leave, I will stay.
In all things, gracious, humble, and content with what the Lord provides.
In Him and in His love and expectations for all of us,
