A UK health minister is going to be interviewed regarding whether it is appropriate to lower the the 24 week limit for abortions down to 20 weeks.

Please pray that God blessed the meeting tomorrow. Even if only 1 or 2 innocent babies are saved as a result of tomorrows hearing then that is surely better than nothing.

Please pray.

It won't pass. No way. Too many kids survive being born at that gestation period. I know from experience.

Well, they decided there is not enough evidence to change the limit, which is a shame. :sigh:

At least the ABC has spoken out recently about the issue:

From what I've read this morning, it seems now they want to make things even easier to get abortions - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7069011.stm

Have scientists thrown ethics out the window now? That is irresponsible science, if so.

As Ian Malcolm says in Jurassic Park, "your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

Rowan Williams made an excellent point the other day. He talked about our attitudes to women smoking and drinking while pregnant and how society would look on aghast, but when it comes to abortion we want to make it as easy possible.
