View Full Version : I don't believe in Global warming

It's always been this way to a degree, but since the weather has changed, it's just worse. I mean, when are we going to stop calling this a "drought" and simply acknowledge that this is now the permanent cycle for Southern California? How many decades do droughts go on before we are honest with ourselves about the effects of global warming on the climate here? What used to be south of the border is now the norm here.

Global warming is and oxymoron if overall temp changes more than 1.5 degrees average world wide there would be no recovery. God holds the fait of the earth balanced in His hand. Climate shifts have always happended. The increased salinity of the oceans promotes increased ice melt at lower temperatures so the saline balance continues to wax and wane. Water doesn't elevate, because ice floats when melted don't significanlty affect the level of water.

California was ravaged by too much timber loss, too much blacktop, too much cement, changing the water flow to dam it up for city usage.

Plant trees... The taller the better. Especially plant more tree coverage around all that black top and cement. Rebuild the waterways that have been destroyed. Get water converted from the ocean.

Scripture teaches how to get rain to fall. Keep Send your representitive to sukkot in Israel. Several other verses pertain but basically if you want rain fall...
Obviously there is too much sin, but ultimately the world has been in turmoil since Adam and Eve left the garden of Eden.

Pray and keep watch
Tend and keep the sheep of the pasture and the creation God made.
Keep the feasts... Especially them fall feasts.
Tithe.
Kind of sad to think that for the sake of Ten righteous men God would stay his wrath.
Yet for the sake of one righteous man God might stay the rain for three years and return it in one day.

Right now I'm wondering... What did Swartzineger do to make God angry?
and thats my opinion.

What the ecoworship groups are calling "Global warming" is a natural phenomenon.

Just like we have the micro-cycles with which we are familiar, i.e. day/night, lunar, solar (seasons), so too are their macro-cycles with which we are much less familiar because they take several life times to cycle. (Geoscience Research Institute (http://www.grisda.org/origins/10051.htm))

The sun has it's "seasons" and cycles. These effect our weather. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1500-year_climate_cycle)

Global warming will cause the onset of another part of the cycle. In 1300-1800 there was what was called the Little Ice age (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Ice_Age). This drastically effected our world both climatically, socially, demographically and politically. This is a well known fact. (http://www.grisda.org/origins/10051.htm)
Not so long ago, civilization learned that it was no match for just a few degrees drop in temperature. Scientists call it the Little Ice Age--but its impact was anything but small. From 1300 to 1850, a period of cataclysmic cold caused havoc. It froze Viking colonists in Greenland, accelerated the Black Death in Europe, decimated the Spanish Armada, and helped trigger the French Revolution. The Little Ice Age reshaped the world in ways that now seem the stuff of fantasy--New York Harbor froze and people walked from Manhattan to Staten Island, Eskimos sailed kayaks as far south as Scotland, and two feet of snow fell on New England in June and July during "the Year Without a Summer". Could another catastrophic cold snap strike in the 21st century? Leading climatologists offer the latest theories, and scholars and historians recreate the history that could be a glimpse of things to come. Face the cold, hard truth of the past--an era that may be a window to our future.

What I see is politicians crying "the sky is falling" to rouse support from the "useful idiots" who hang on their every word as if it was Ultimate Truth, so they have the $$ and clout for their social-engineering.

It is a fact that the earth has been warming, it happened before LONG before man and his hydrocarbons could have "caused" it.

This warming cycle WILL cause global cooling.

Instead of scurrying around trying to find someone to blame WHY are not our leaders forging ahead with their clout and $$ and science to develop ways to adjust to and provide for this eventuality???

I couldn't have said it better myself.

California??? People still call it that? I thought it was Repulica de Norte?

True, but this is only applicable during the reign of Mashiakh.

Right now I'm wondering... What did Swartzineger do to make God angry?

I think you're thinking in too small terms. You should be asking, what is the US doing to make HaShem angry?

Oh, and just cuz I'm crazy like this... It's "Shwarzenegger."

Schwarzenegger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwartzenegger)....

Sorry, I guess the classes are getting to me, even the examples in every day life. I'm not really afforded mistakes in my homework either (really I kid you not, that's what they said. LOL)..

I think Henny said it really well....

It is stinking COLD here in Germany, and the temperatures back home in AL are like they have been the last 10 years, in SC as I have known them the last 20+ years with minor variations and same for the other places I've ever lived.

There are consequences to vastly changing the face of the country and not encorporating trees etc, but the fact is that there are certain lands where flash floods are more prone to happen, flash fires or big droughts followed by forest fires and then flash fires across the lower part or panhandle of the state.. (FL and CA ring a bell? or the plains...?)

I kept thinking "WOW it is so cold here for October!" and when I checked the weather back home, I said "No wonder I feel that way, it is only 82°F back home, and here it is in the 40s and 30s!"

I'm just not used to cold weather more than a few weeks out of the entire month, even in winter!

Back home we have a drought going on, but in the 10 years I'd been in AL; I have to say it's a normal cycle. Some years we get loads of rain, others loads of tornados and then on alternate years, less rain, no tornados and hurricanes are scarce..

And there are photos to prove it. There are pictures of the changes to different glaciers that demonstrate they had been changing BEFORE man had the ability to cause it.

Call me wacky - the forecast for today is 70 in flyover tundra country - I am kinda diggin it :D

So many bunny trails, so little time.....

Ding. Ding. Ding!

We have a winner. So true.

You should check out Michael Crichton's State Of Fear.
