Tonight, after a long day's work as I lay in the bath, I thought of my troubles and that I should put it to prayer in this Blessed site. Somewhere, somehow, led by the Holy Spirit, I realised my prayer is not for myself, but rather my wishes and prayers for the young ones. I have been on this site for over 1 week now and seen some of the posts from our younger generations. Tonight, my prayer is for them. It is a prayer of hope and fulfilment. May my gracious Jesus let this fall upon their hearts.
Dear Lord
I pray for the young troubled minds that come forward here to this site, be they members or guests. Lord, so many, so young are facing the harsh reality of life. When they look at other posts from adults - this possibly is reinforced. Lord Jesus, please let them find joy, find joy in:
- rolling in green grass straight after a rainstorm
- seeing the sunset in your beauty and the colours that cannot be captured by our drawings;
- in the kind smile of a stranger;
- in finding a dollar on the street;
- in eating a nice wet, sweet ice cream on a hot day;
- in the joy of being educated and learning something new;
- in the warm hug of a parent or friend;
- in being told they did well .. whether it be sport, education or just a simple chore;
for our young teens, may they find love;
- the excitement of the 1st love;
- the sweaty palms;
- the heart fluttering;
- the first date;
- the true friend who has 'your back';
- the friend that listens to your woes when it actually isn't that important
The ability to sing at the top of your voice in church to your favourite song - just because .. just because the Holy Spirit has just filled you with so oooo much joy that it bursting out of you.
I wish you this for your life. Amen
